ever wondered what you get when you order a #houseplant online? here is a glimpse into my experience ordering from @heyrooted ? i was super skeptical, especially since the items ship from #florida and i’m all the way on the #westcoast in #vegas, but the 2 plants were in incredibly great condition once i unboxed and unpackaged them. the #transplant process seemed to be a little more harsh, but i’m not sure if that was because of the types of plants (they’re more rare, more tropical, etc.) or if they were just too stressed from being in a dark, wet box for over a week. i ended up splitting the #alocasia into 2 smaller plants while transplanting it (one side seemed much more fragile, so i wanted to give the heartier guy a chance to fight) and those are doing “okay”, but the #prayerplant (which i also split into 2) is FLOURISHING now! it already produced 1 new #leaf! ?

thanks to #covid, one thing i really started paying attention to in #2020 was #SelfCare. minor changes to my routine have made monumental impacts on my daily #health and overall well-being. don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying buying a silk pillowcase will change your entire life overnight, but don’t underestimate what you can do after a good night’s sleep – the kind where you wake up feeling RESTED and #REJUVENATED and ready to tackle the day! since my self-care routine for #2021 is partially centered around me ensuring i’m getting the best night’s #sleep possible and am allowing my body to recover when it needs to, @blissybrand has been a game changer for me. some key #benefits that really hyped me up, were: ⋒ naturally #hypoallergenic (my daily allergies are minimal) ⋒ zero friction, so no lines on your skin when you wake up! ⋒ machine washable ⋒ helps extend the life of my #lashextensions (to almost 4-weeks!) at this point, i’m a #silk junkie and can’t get enough. i mean, james even splurged and wrapped up some silk pajamas for me for christmas because i literally cannot get enough! it’s the SOFTEST, most breathable and most #LIVEABLE fabric. i no longer feel like i’m fighting an invisible force every morning – trying to tame my frizzy hair, rushing to fill sleep lines in with extra #moisturizer and foundation… oh, and the fact that i don’t find all my #lashes all over the pillows anymore is a gigantic plus! truth is, there’s no “waking up on the wrong side of the bed”, when you’re waking up with #Blissy. no, seriously, it feels THAT good. *read full post & shop these items on my #blog, linked in stories*

i’d never been a fan of #freshflowers because i always thought they were kind of a “waste” since they eventually die. i hated the feeling of “throwing money in the trash”, as i’d dispose of dried-up arrangements. i just didn’t get it. i’m here to say, i’ve evolved and am officially so obsessed with having floral arrangements all around our house! i’ve been looking for ways to #reuse the flowers, as well, and so far i’ve made #rosewater & a #roselatte ? have you ever tried rose water??
