On Dec 4, 2010, within about an hour of each other, Josh and I both lost someone very special to us. I lost my daddy and Josh lost his Aunt Millie. We didn’t know each other at the time, but fast forward less a month and we’d finally cross paths. Something in my heart tells me that on their way up to heaven, they met and somehow had our stars align. It’s true that time does heal and this terrible anniversary does get a little bit easier but grief is such an odd thing and several times of the year something will catch me off guard and bring me back to the day that I got the worst news of my life. My dad was truly the coolest person I’ve ever met and when my heart aches the most is when I think about how amazing of a father in law and Zadah he’d be. But him and Aunt Millie sure conspired together on this day 11 years ago to bring us together and we both know we truly have the best guardian angels watching over our sweet babies.
