Highly recommend a Summer Colorado staycation. My birthday gift to myself- a week off. A week to enjoy the small things. To sleep. To snuggle my kids. To enjoy sunsets and Long summer nights. To camp in the backyard. To read a book (or two). To make breakfast for my family every morning. My rigid schedule for 15+ years makes it hard to enjoy some of those small, simple things. And this week, I lived it up. I was spoiled by all the amazing people in my life. We danced, we spent time at the pool, surfed the lake, ate at some of my fav restaurants, went to a Broadway Show, went shopping, laughed so hard and didn’t look at the time or set an alarm. I’ve spent many moments this week thanking God for the time off. I know it’s a blessing that can easily be overlooked.
