A few of you have called out that I’ve been a little mia, especially on stories lately, and the truth is I really haven’t been getting on IG as much at all lately! I’ve had a rough couple of weeks and really needed to put my phone down and take some time for myself. ⁣ ⁣ I really pride myself on always walking in a spirit of gratitude, being thankful, and not complaining because despite a few tough weeks, the reality is God is still so good! My professional and family life are great, glory to God, but I’ve come to realize we can be grateful and acknowledge feelings of sadness, frustration, or whatever it may be simultaneously. It can be very toxic to suppress our feelings for the sake of being grateful. The reality is we ALL go through things no matter what people’s highlight reels on social media portray and you guys know that I pride myself on sharing transparently and not just sharing my wins and big moments but hard and tough times too. ⁣ ⁣ I’ll eventually share more but I really want to simply say THANK YOU for checking on me in my DMs, still showing love on my content although I haven’t been very responsive in comments lately, being patient with me as I’m super behind on dms, showing love on countless throwbacks as I’ve been in a funk and not shooting much. The list goes on and on. I have the best IG family ever! ⁣ ⁣ With May being mental health awareness month, I want to encourage you guys to step back and take a break when needed, don’t hesitate to address feelings head on instead of suppressing them, and put yourself first when need be. This was the first time in a while I’ve taken a break from work, pushed a few deadlines back, and took some time for me! Lastly, I’ll leave you guys with be kind to people, you truly never know what they are going through behind their smiles or maybe even attitudes. I love you guys! Happy Friday ❤️!

Young 20 something year old me on the left, just me and my baby. In a season where I truly didn’t know what was next. Just a few months before that picture I was pregnant, unwed, laid off from my job, on unemployment barely making it, and in one of the hardest seasons of my life. That season was filled with so much guilt and shame. During that time there was NO WAY you could’ve convinced me a few years later the picture on the right would be God’s answered prayers! ⁣ ⁣ In the midst of storms it’s very hard to see the rainbow, but let me tell y’all, the rainbow that came after was worth every struggling moment. Sometimes your biggest blessings will come out of your worst storms. God can turn around ANY situation and make it work for your good. God can meet us in the darkest places of our lives and even the furthest reaches of our disobedience. Not only can He meet us, He can redeem us, and turn our lives around instantly! ⁣ ⁣ Thank you God for turning my mess into this masterpiece! If He can do it for me, He can certainly do it for you too! Hang in there! You got this! And God’s got you! ??

Mr & Mrs Williams ?⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ Love isn’t always a fairytale or a storybook. It doesn’t always come easy but when it’s meant to be, God will write a better story than any fictional love story you’ve ever read! I reflect on our unconventional road to each other and “I do” & think about all the things that could’ve easily stopped us from having a future together. ⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ For starters we “met” on IG. I could’ve easily rolled my eyes at him reaching out and looked at him as another guy sliding in the DMs & kept it moving. But something told me to reply & clearly I’m glad I did! ⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ We hit it off but were living in two different states both with one child at the time & neither with any initial plans of relocating. It honestly didn’t make sense but something in us told us to keep pursing one another. ⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ Next thing you know we were courting, in a long distance relationship, & somehow fell in love lol and this handsome face asked me to be his wife! I said YES but yet we were still living in two different states and Bryan didn’t have not one job lined up to move. Once again, didn’t make much sense but we knew if it was meant to be God would work it all out. ⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ After months of making a 10+ hour turnaround trip for interviews to only not get the job, Bryan finally lands a job to Houston & is able to relocate to be in the same city as me! We decide with kids involved we didn’t want to play house so we go to the courthouse on a random Thursday after work and get married. Nothing glamorous about it but we felt like it was the right thing to do! ⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ Planned for our big wedding on our 1 year anniversary, ended up pregnant 6 months before the wedding date, but didn’t let that stop us from celebrating. Walked down the aisle bump and all. ??⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ Now 5 years later he’s still putting up with me lol & we are better than ever. I often see couples drag their feet & prolong future plans with one another due to circumstances not being perfect but I want to encourage you guys to simply be obedient to the Holy Spirit even if it doesn’t “make sense.” There’s something on the other side of you stepping out on faith & letting God handle the rest!

Orange you glad it’s almost summer time? ???‍♀️? sorry I had to haha. ⁣ ⁣ Oh don’t mind me...I’m just over here day dreaming about beaches, pools, hot summer days, sunny skies, and tons of family time this summer! ⁣ ⁣ Who else is counting down until schools out and summer begins? Y’all I thought this week was Carri’s last week of school and was sooo excited. I think I’m more excited than her ?. This mama needs a breakkkk! I woke up yesterday morning like whew last week of early alarms and carpool, only for the teacher to email us sending a reminder next Thursday is the last day of school ???‍♀️?. I was like nexttttt Thursdayyyyy noooooo ???. ⁣ ⁣ So here’s to just another week or so of enduring the school schedule ? before freedom lol! Looking forward to having the full⁣ family together in the next few weeks and making it a summer to remember with the fam! Here’s a flashback to when we did a staycation at @woodlandsresort here in the Houston area and it’s perfect if you aren’t able to travel far but still want to do something fun with the family. There’s multiple heated pools, a lazy river, multiple water slides, covered cabanas with tv’s in them, and restaurant and bar service pool side, amongst many other things for the family and kids to enjoy. We’ll def be back this summer! ⁣ ⁣ When do your kids get out for the summer and what’s your summer plans? We normally do a big family beach trip in Florida but thinking about switching it up this year and visiting another big city! Any guesses on where the Williams crew will be headed this summer? I remember this moment like it was yesterday, in the thick of the pandemic, having all the kids home with me, doing virtual learning, working from home, tending to the little ones -- it was A LOT! I must admit, it was probably one of the toughest seasons of motherhood for me. I’m glad to know I wasn’t alone as 93% of millennial moms also reported feeling “burned out” according to a recent @mother.ly survey. Baby Camille and I had to find time to step out of the chaos for some fresh air and a moment of peace! Just those few moments of silence with her brought me so much joy and peace! Moments such as this one kept me going when I needed it the most. Cheers to the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ????. We made it to the finish line yall! I officially have a 4th grader now ?. ⁣ ⁣ We tried to play it cool but swipe to see how we truly feel about this school year finally coming to an end. I may or may not be more excited than Carrington ?. ⁣ ⁣ I think this may be the first year where teachers, parents, and students are all equally excited about the school year being over. Man, what a year. From starting off virtually and having to navigate that, to having to adjust to being back in person after not going to school in person since midway last school year ?, to everything in between. I have never been more excited for a school year to be done lol. But through it all my girl rocked it like a champ and handled all the constant changes as well as any kid could.⁣ ⁣ So proud of you my Carrington Brielle! Here’s to permanently shutting off my early alarm for school drop offs for a few months, a break from homework, and to a way more lax schedule and some family fun this summer!! To all the parents that had school aged kids this school year...WE did it, I guess they did it too haha!!! Summer starts NOW!!!
