It’s almost the end of the month for April; which some people know it as the “Autism Awareness Month.” Thus, i want to use this opportunity and this platform to truly speak my voice as a mom of an amazing human-being whom was once diagnosed with an ASD (#Autism Spectrum Disorder).
⠀
Faro is an amazing soul, whom was born into this lifetime as my son. Somehow Universe conspired and thought that i was worthy enough to raise him as my kiddo. Eversince he was living inside my belly, to the day he was born, until this very day. Faro has been teaching me a lot of things about life.
⠀
Some people look down on me because they see Faro as imperfect, some people praise me because they see me as a tough cookie for being his mom. But you see, we’re both are just as normal as everybody else. Two souls living as mother and son, experiencing life together.
⠀
There were times when i thought about giving up. There were also so many times where Faro got upset because his mom couldnt even understand him, nor accepting him for who he was.
⠀
Those days were our realities, but our realities now have been so much different once we got into the realisation that we’re a team. All the pain i felt, all the self-blame, the frustrations, all went away when i diverted my mind from “?? ??? ?? ???? ?? ???? ????????,” into “?? ?? ?????? ??????????,” and from “? ???? ?? ??? ?? ?? ??????,” into “? ?????????? ???? ?? ??? ?? ???????.”

I’m proud of each and every milestone that Faro slowly and steadily accomplished. I’m also proud of our support system; our families, friends, and those people whom showed us love, deep understanding, compassion, and prayers each day.

I’m proud to be your mom, Faro. You brought so much joy into my life. I’m proud of you, and love you with all my heart and soul. I really hope that i make you proud as well. I know there will still be moments in the future where i might let you down again, or vice versa. But i believe our journey will always be exciting ❤️

I know. For some of you. The hoodie i wear in that photo is just a hoodie. But to me, that sapphire blue hoodie is a Superman’s cape.

It’s the symbol of a journey, taken by some of the most talented-hardworking-decent men. The journey of transformations, love, and music. The journey of my Superm(e)n, Super Junior ❤️

The journey that Super Junior took somehow helped me get through pandemic last year. In fact, it helped me going through a lot of hard times.
⠀
March 2 actually marks one of the biggest life-changing events in some of our lives: the first case of Covid-19 in Indonesia. Yang akhirnya berujung pada PSBB, WFH, SFH, New Normal, sampai kehidupan yang kita kenal sekarang.

And in this year’s March 2, @superjunior released their official album arts (there are two versions of them) of their 10th Anniversary Album, “The Renaissance.”
⠀
So then, today, with such pride and joy, i decided to wear the hoodie. My Superman’s cape.
⠀
Eventho i’m still in my period and barefaced. I felt so happy, comfortable, and just simply felt pretty.
⠀
Because what i was wearing today, was the symbol of an amazing journey of the people whom i believe as worthy to be idolized and admired. The people whom somehow always reminds me to love myself, be myself, and just simply embrace my own quirks, and still be better each and everytime.
⠀
I’m proud to be an #elf. And proud to be a #superjunior fan.
⠀
And i hope, all of you, whom are reading this. Whomever you are and whatever you love, may you always be allowed to love what you love. To embrace yourselves and your quirks. And be better human-beings because your souls are truly aligned with your “human-experience” journeys.

Yes. I get it. That quote from one my all-time favorite books (in which, the all time favorite book of sooo many people) has been enormously overused.
⠀
But you see, sometimes, when you truly manifest what you want.
⠀
When you stop being indecisive and truly decide what you want.
⠀
All the atoms, sub-atoms, matters, non-matters, just somehow make it work for you.
⠀
Just like this morning when i visited my Mom’s grave.
⠀
I’m a Javanese, and it’s a part of my belief system in which i choose not to visit certain places (cemetery included) when i’m having my period.
⠀
And as you know, february 28th is the date where i buried my late Mother 2 years ago.
⠀
At the same time. Based on my monthly calculation, i was supposed to have my period on February 27th (yesterday).
⠀
I (painfully -because i had been experiencing bad pms for a couple of days) waited until this morning and found out that my period had not happening yet, so i decided to visit my Mom’s grave, as planned.
⠀
Then. Just like a Divine timing. My period started to run out, soon after the car left cemetery area.. Magical, no?
⠀
When i think about it. Universe knew, that i truly had to visit my Mom’s this morning. I wanted it, i manifested it, i chose to do it, and somehow, my body helped me achieve it.
⠀
I even took some time earlier to thank my womb, for She knew how much i wanted to visit my Mom’s grave. She was being so kind to me. And it felt, magical ❤️
⠀
So yes. Despite being overused, i still love that Paulo Coelho’s quote. Because it’s simply relevant. And it’s a reminder for us, to always stay true and honest about what we TRULY want. Because Universe’s blessings may make it come true, just like that without you even realizing it.

Have you ever watched the movie “Bobby Jones; Stroke of Genius”?

I watched that movie back when I was still in high school, in HBO if i’m not mistaken. And it has been one of my most favorite movies of all time eversince :)

I got fascinated with the art of golfing eversince i watched that movie. But i had always made myself believe that it’s not my “portion” to try golfing myself. Looking back, i can’t even explain why i had such thought back then. I guess we are just sometimes got caught up with our own limiting beliefs, without even realizing it.

But anywayy, several days ago, 15 years after i watched Jim Caviezel profoundly acting as the legendary Robert Tyre Jones Jr. for the 1st time, i finally tried to learn the sport for the very first time in my life.

Interesting isn’t it? When you open your horizon, and let go of limiting beliefs that aren’t actually relevant anymore, you are welcoming so many paths of knowledge, excitement, and even opportunities into your life. And somehow, actively engaging yourself in making your dreams come true.

One of the biggest blissful moments for me, as a woman who juggles many things, is the moment when i’m able to interact with my kiddo after such a long hardworking days.

Semua lelah yang gw rasakan ketika harus begadangan berhari-hari ngerjain proposal, back-to-back meeting, hingga ngurusin perintilan operasional bisnis seakan hilang ketika Faro datang, sudah mandi sore, lengkap dengan playtime outfit yang menggemaskan. Holding him in my arms, kissing his head (mumpung masih mau digemes-gemesin begini ?), and play around.

Apalagi kalau Faro pakai outfit koleksinya @guyyu.id yang desainnya unik, warnanya vibrant (naikin mood banget!), plus bahannya enak banget, adem! ❤️❤️❤️

Took this photo during a windy Sunday in my front yard/zen garden. It was totally windy. Faro and I had just arrived from lunch and groceries, and i really fancied the ensemble i wore. Hence, despite the windy nature, i took a quick snap; even without actually posing properly (iye, gw pose beneran kalau foto ootd ?).

The wind that day, kinda got me into thinking aback to these past few months. The period of time where i have been considering as hard times.
⠀
Emotional turbulences, unwanted bad-dreams, unsounding sleeps, exhaustions, sudden rushes of anxiety, the pains in my head and nerves, and basically just an endless feeling of sorrow that i can’t truly explain.
⠀
The wind that day, reminds me, that no matter how much hardship i endure, i still manage to stop, give myself a little positive appreciation and affirmation, then smile again. And i guess, it’s something worth celebrating, at least for me :)

Oh, the road we need to take to learn to be kind to ourselves :)

“I’m doing great despite of the endless war i’m having within myself. I’m still breathing, and i hope i don’t waste my own breath by not living fully and groundingly.”

I may seem to be tough, smiling, and positive all the time. But each and everyday, if i have to be honest, it’s a war. There even moments in time where i thought i would lose, but somehow i got through it. Safely, joyfully.
⠀
When it comes to self-love, the struggle is real.
⠀
Self-love isn’t just about seeing your physical body as “pretty” or “good-looking.” Self-love is about accepting your true self, your soul, your purpose, your human body, and your journey in this lifetime as a whole.
⠀
Acceptance is the hardest part. Because the nature of us is the tendency in glorifying free-will into our ego space. Until we loose the sense of guidance from within ourselves.
⠀
I’m still learning to have that kind of acceptance toward who i am now in this lifetime. And sometimes, the acceptance toward the world. How to accept the world as it is and not let the world distract me from my own calling.
⠀
Yes the struggle is real.
⠀
But doesn’t mean that i can’t look at you all in the eyes (barefaced, haven’t showered, just got in touch with a sip of my morning coffee) and smile. Because no matter how deadly the war i’m having deep inside myself. I still do believe that, our lives are precious. Mine, yours, all precious. And we are all lucky to be alive and experiencing this lifetime.
