I’m so devastated, shocked and heartbroken. Last night our amazing Mum passed away. She was rushed into hospital in the morning with a blood clot that started in her leg, went on to her lungs, and quickly spread to her brain.

Family was everything to Mum and she’s going to leave a massive hole in our family. She never left Dads side, and she was ridiculously protective of us all, and her grandchildren.

I’m so glad I managed to get to spend the last few hours with her, chat to her, and let her know she was the best mum we could ever have wished for.

Dad, Mike, and myself were at her bedside to say goodbye. We’re all pretty numb at the moment, and I’d prefer not putting something on here, but I also know how loved Mum was by so many people, and there’s going to be people that we’ve forgotten to contact today.

Over the past few years I’ve lost count of the amount of vicars that have forced me to shoot a ceremony from a crappy position at the back of a church... not this one though! As long as I didn’t get in front of her she was fine with me going wherever I needed to ? And as a result I got a great selection of images for Becky + Nat. 500! That’s how many weddings I’ve now shot. Pretty mental when I look at that figure, and think about how much hard work and creativity I put into every single wedding I photograph and edit. Thanks to all you amazing couples that booked me because you felt a connection and saw something in my photos/website that really excited you. Thanks to all of you that trusted me to just get on with my job on your wedding day, safe in the knowledge that I’ll give you the best photos I possibly can because of my 20+ years of doing this. The last 15 months has honestly nearly broken me, and I could easily have given up at times. But things are on the way up again now, weddings are back, and my bank balance is already taking a bashing from all the Starbucks and McDonalds I’m getting through now I’m back on the road every weekend!
