Wow! Well, this was a really nice surprise to get on a wet and miserable mundane midweek afternoon! HUGE thanks @rockmywedding ❤️ ???? Surrounded by sooooo many other talented wedding photographers on that list ???? I couldn’t think of a song to put on this post, so I’m just sharing the music soundtrack of my current nightmares! Seriously, my kids are making me watch the sodding unicorn film this song is from Every. Single. Day. ????????????????

Thank you so much @lovemydress for my inclusion on this list. It really was a lovely surprise, and even more amazing to be on there amongst such other talented photographers. When I started this business back in 2012 the Love My Dress blog really jumped out at me as being stylish, cool, inclusive, and pretty much just, well, not naff! And believe me… back in 2012 there was a hell of a lot of really naff stuff out there. Annabel has managed (through lots of hard work and dedication) to build and maintain a very informative blog/website/online book of wedding goodness!… and I look forward to seeing the new look LMD in the coming months. I don’t enter wedding photography awards anymore. I’ve not done for many years. Don’t get me wrong, I think they’re fantastic when you’re just starting out, and need to get noticed, or want some recognition for yourself that what you’re doing is good! But I simply don’t have a competitive bone in my body. I can’t stand the anxiety of having to “compete” when it comes to work. I have zero ego… and last of all… I’m too busy chasing my kids around soft play to have time to enter awards! So… whenever I find myself put on a list like this I genuinely am filled with pride, and over the moon to see my work still loved by important people within the industry ???? ????

???? It’s been way too long since I took some snaps of Jesse and Jonah’s faces with my “proper” camera. All it took was me to spot a nice bit of clean light (don’t ask me what that is!) whilst running their bath for me to grab the camera and get these cute portraits.

“Fuuuuuuuck! There’s fireworks!?” Every photographers reaction when they hear that first surprise bang of the evening ???? ???????? I’ve loved editing this gorgeous wedding of Clare and Alan from a few weeks ago at @gravetyemanor and can’t wait to send off the finished gallery to the happy couple… and also share more images on here from their big day.

Before he was documenting weddings, Ed was chasing goals, politicians, and breaking news with a press pass and a beat up Nikon 35mm Camera. That training shows. His timing is uncanny, his bullshit radar finely tuned, and his ability to spot the moment before it happens is the reason people hire him again and again. Now into his second decade of wedding work, Ed’s still allergic to posing and pristine timelines. (Even though his portraits are gorgeous) He shoots it as it unfolds, unfiltered, unexpected, and often hilarious. If there’s a bit of human chaos about to happen, chances are Ed’s already got it in the bag.. We’re bringing Ed to Wyrd because he gets it.. the work, the rhythm, the burnouts, and the joy. He’s proof that staying curious and cutting through the noise is a form of resistance in itself. TICKETS AVAILABLE SOON! SIGN UP TO THE MAILING LIST FOR FIRST ANNOUNCEMENTS! 23rd-26th MARCH 2026 ???? Basil, and his pet humans Sevrin and Phil ???? Sunny pre wedding shoot fun in Nottinghamshire last week. I can’t wait to snap their wedding day later this summer. Fingers crossed for the same stunning weather!

Couples that book me are… Totally invested in having an authentic story of their day captured. Not a bunch of fake posed shots that stop them from enjoying a free-flowing wedding day. Keen to have endless natural and fun photos of their friends and families to look back on in years to come. Not just a collection of 90% photos of just them. Reassured that they’ve got a wedding photographer that is experienced and won’t crumble under pressure if the shit hits the fan! Chilled-out, sometimes camera shy, and always over the moon when they see how quick I do the potentially cringe-fest portraits part of the day. FYI it never cringey when I do it. Check out my website for the proof! Ultimately my couples book me because they trust me. I’m open and transparent from the minute you enquire with me, to the day you receive your final gallery of photos. With 100 Google reviews on my website homepage don’t just take my word for it, take a look at what some of my lovely previous couples have said ????

30 years blagging my way through a creative career! ???? Yep, 3 decades ago today I started working as a photographer (or at least a photographers assistant to start off with). From film to digital. Darkrooms to Lightroom (computers). From zero qualifications to priceless years of experience. Shit wage to decent wage! None of it has been easy, but all of it has been fun ???? And only now do I truly feel I’ve sussed this whole work/life balance thing out ???? Quality over quantity / Time off, over endless burnout
