HELLO new followers! (and faithful regulars ????) Cheers for taking the time to look at my fun snaps from weddings that I post on here. I’m Ed, a mid-life crisis male that lives in Nottinghamshire, England. I take documentary style photos at weddings for a living. Basically, this just means I brand myself that way so I don’t have to bow down to current trends and fads, or spend two hours at every wedding shooting boring group photos while everyone loses the will to live! My ethos is very simple. If it looks good, photograph it! I’m there to tell a true and authentic story of your wedding day as it unfolds around me. I’m not there to turn your wedding into a photoshoot or make you feel awkward. This is my 30th year in the photography industry, and I still genuinely love picking up my cameras and creating meaningful and artistic photos just as much now as I did as a teenager in the 90’s. Before snapping wedding days I spent over a decade photographing celebs, royals, premiership football matches, and loads of weird and wonderful assignments for the national newspapers. It was fun… but give me a chaotic wedding to photograph any day over that. Those two cuties in this selfie with me are my boys Jesse and Jonah. They not only have to endure me shoving a camera in their faces quite regularly, but also help to keep me feeling young, and acting even younger ????♂️ Not sure if that last thing is actually a good thing! I know a lot of photographers follow me on here… which is great. I’m all for community over competition, and love helping out fellow photographers in any way I can. I’ve been doing one for years, and it’s always a great way to remind us of how creative, emotional, and FUN photographing weddings can be… and how happy they make me! It’s also a great way to show couples your most recent work, and uncover photos you might have forgotten about… like this shot ????

New Year’s resolution… take even more photos of these two rascals and our adventures over the next 12 months! I cannot believe Jesse turns 10 this year…where the hell has that decade gone ???? Back in the office after my festive break today!… well, the shared/creative hub I work from in Nottingham. Replying to emails, making my “best of 2025” blog/slideshow, and editing my gorgeous final wedding I shot a couple of weeks ago in London. If you’ve booked me to shoot your 2026 wedding… “You’re getting married THIS YEAR!”… hope you’re as excited as I am ????❤️ ???? This year I’ll shoot my 700th wedding… I still can’t get my head around that!
