growth can be really uncomfortable, but that’s where the healing truly happens?

growth doesn’t happen when you stay in your comfort zone. it doesn’t happen when you ignore your wounds and pretend that everything is okay?

growth happens when you lovingly put yourself in a situation you need to face head-on instead of brushing it off. it happens when you seek discomfort and stand up to the challenge?

this is what growth can look like:
? speaking up and creating potential conflict rather than avoiding conflict forever.
? having difficult conversations rather than hold in resentment.
? talking to the person sitting next to you rather than fearing judgement and blaming yourself for weak social skills.
? taking action towards your dreams despite the fear of disappointing someone in your family.
? meeting new people for potential friendships despite being rejected and bullied in the past.
? letting go of chasing someone who is unavailable despite having a crush and falling for potential. l
?accepting and being open to criticism rather than shutting down when someone gives you feedback.

these are all things that i have faced, and some i continue to grow through (especially when it comes to dealing with conflict and social skills). healing isn’t linear, but when you do tap into the bravery already inside of you and do the uncomfortable thing - the thing that your ego is threatened by - your healing will become exponential after that. and this means more positive changes in your life, creating a secure attachment, developing healthy relationships, deep self-love, and attracting better into your life?

the uncomfortable parts of growth aren’t always seen by others, as we only tend to see what someone has achieved on the outside. but this doesn’t mean it’s not important - actually, the inner work is what matters the most on our journey of growth. the moment you stop running on autopilot and instead become conscious of your reactions, and shift into behaviour that will support your growth, is when you transform. maturity is knowing that you are always a work in progress, and still take responsibility for your life?

how to create a conscious relationship?

a relationship where both partners are committed to a sense of purpose and growth requires work, but it becomes one of the most beautiful things in life✨ both Josh and I had already aligned onto the path of deeper self-awareness before meeting each other, and this is how our conscious relationship started from the very beginning. it has allowed us to love deeply, be open vulnerably, and hold space safely. the relationship with yourself truly sets the tone for all other relationships in your life?

a conscious relationship means that both partners know they are responsible for their own happiness, healing and triggers. it’s not that one person fulfils or completes the other, but two people who come together and continue to seek growth. it’s about being committed to love over fear, and sharing this journey called life from the most loving place in your heart. it’s not always rainbows and butterflies, because this kind of relationship will bring up wounds that call for healing, but when you are willing to do the inner work and shift old patterns to create new ones, a conscious relationship will support you and is the most sacred gift❤️

here are some ways you can create a conscious relationship:
? practice crystal clear communication.
? don’t assume your partner knows what you are thinking.
? let go of unhealthy patterns.
? let go of expectations on your partner.
? support each other’s dreams and goals.
? prioritise time for intimacy.
? don’t assume you know everything about your partner.
? express what triggers you.
? know each other’s love languages.
? do fun things together.
? don’t try to ‘save’ your partner from their challenges.
? hold space for each other.
? spend quality uninterrupted time together.
? be honest about your feelings.
? don’t avoid conflict and deal with it at the right timing.
? acknowledge each other’s sensitivities.
? respect boundaries.
? have healthy alone time.
? express your love and appreciation daily.

my love, i am so grateful for you❤️

it took me 6 years to come to peace with my body?

the beginning of my eating disorder started when i was 16 years old, at a time where i only saw my body as an object that defined my worth. food and the scale took over my life, i went to bed hungry thinking it was something i had to do, and i was mostly in my masculine energy. at 18, i came across my first self-love book, and the journey to recovery began, but it wasn’t all linear. i was learning more about the emotional reasons related to food and our body, however i had to hit rock bottom to fully be committed to healing. at 19 my anorexia was at its worst, and upon seeing my hair getting thinner, constantly cold body, loss of social life and low energy, i knew something had to change?

today as i looked at myself in the mirror, i realised just how at peace i am with my body and food. there is no guilt for eating burgers or cookies now, i can happy sit down without hiding my stomach, and i’m also more in tune with my temple than ever too. i went from fearing weight gain to embracing the body God naturally gave me?

to love my body, i really focused on reprogramming my beliefs and shifting self-talk into my kindness and compassion. i listened to endless podcasts and audiobooks, repeated affirmations every day, chose to wear clothes that fitted me, got rid of the scale, did exercise i enjoyed, focused on gratitude, started sleeping naked, did breathwork, gave my breasts massages, honoured my yoni, made my social media a positive space, and worked on feeling worthy from within✨

it took 6 years of a non-linear journey to deep self-love, and even now the journey hasn’t stopped☀️the better the relationship with myself has become, the more i have been able to turn my dreams into a reality?

if you want to change your life, it won’t happen overnight, but it will happen through commitment, consistency, taking responsibility and allowing yourself to be human and not self-punish for taking a step back. you’re always on the right path, and you can heal? your wellbeing matters, take care of you?

we are triggered by criticism when we haven’t yet accepted that part of ourselves ?

when we live in our shadows, we are afraid to be told something that we don’t want to hear. this means that we aren’t willing to look within and accept something about ourselves, and it often happens if you feel that you have to be a certain way to be loved?

in my life, for the longest time i was so afraid of being told “you’re selfish”. i did everything i could to please everyone, because i equated being ‘selfish’ as unloved and not accepted✨

this all shifted recently. after some inner work, i realised that being selfish doesn’t necessarily mean you are living from ego or being arrogant. we can reframe “selfish” and remember that as humans, we all have to think about ourselves and put our needs first at times, and it’s not a bad thing. you can honour your needs and also be kind?

since i rewrote my story around the word “selfish”, and came to accept that a part of me that does need to put myself first sometimes, and it still makes me worthy loving, it is no longer a big trigger. and best of all, it helped with letting go of people pleasing?

when we are triggered by what someone tells us, it is often because a part of us believes it is true. the more we come to accept ourselves and do the work to heal our wounds, the less we will take criticism personally?

no one is ‘perfect’, we all live in our shadows sometimes. self-love is a journey after all, and we can grow and evolve one step at a time❤️

if you want to be guided into more inner work like this, The Blissful Soul program is still open for enrolment, and it’s going to activate your confidence. the link to enrol is in my bio?

how it started & how it’s going?

how it started: my eating disorder healing journey began like this, when my body was at its lowest energetically. for years i thought that i wasn’t good enough, beautiful enough, and spoke harshly to myself in front of the mirror. when i was constantly cold, losing hair, obsessed with the scale, and fearing food so much so that i wouldn’t eat what my family cooked at home, i knew it was time to change for good.

how it’s going: 3 years into healing and my temple is thriving?? i have lots of energy during the day, my cycle is regular, hair is growing back, and the inner critic has stopped taking centre stage when i look in the mirror (at least 95% of the time?). eating out is the norm, i no longer weigh myself, and love any home cooked food ? my temple has found its happy and healthy state, and the greatest transformation has been no longer placing my self worth on my body?healing was and still is uncomfortable at times, but it is so rewarding ?

{ a love note: if your body appears similar to my first photo, there is nothing to be ashamed of. every temple is different, and in the first photo my body wasn’t healthy for me, but health looks different on everyone }
