I don't believe there has been a moment in history when the temptation to be a worship leader for all the wrong reasons has ever been greater, never a moment where the seduction of personal glory, fame, followers, adulation, money, self-gratification and earthly reward has more surrounded and infected this precious thing we call worship. This has caused me so much grief and near despair just as it has tempted my own soul.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are living in an apocalyptic time. But whether Jesus returns in our lifetime or whether He waits another thousand years makes no difference. Because one way or another, at the end of our lives, we will meet Him and stand face to face! The only thing that will matter then will be a life of wholehearted devotion to Him. Plans, career, platform, numbers, provision, hits, notoriety...what will they profit? What will they gain? If those deeds weren't done out of wholehearted surrender, love and obedience...they will gain nothing! Absolutely nothing. Consumed in a flash of fire.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
