Happy Valentine’s Day to my gorgeous wife, Julie! Even though it may happen once a year and is one of the most dreaded holidays for many singles and couples. Keep in mind that love is something we all together can celebrate daily - being single, being in a relationship, or being married. Take advantage of today to take some quality time to think about God’s love for you (and vice versa), your love toward others, and showing them your appreciation through text messages, emails, or getting them cards or food! If you’re reading this and don’t get some love from others, I want to share my love with you because you’re a sibling of mine through Jesus Christ. ????❤️ #ledbetter #love #happyvalentinesday

When you wake up this morning, did you take a minute to realize how grateful you are for what you have? If not, I encourage you to start thinking about this more often.
It would help if you were grateful for what you have, and here's a simple tip that works amazing for me and my wife, Julie. It will not take you more than five minutes!

Pull out a journal (get one if you don't have one) – write down three things you're grateful for this morning. Gratitude requires humility, in turn, opens your mind to notice what you have, which helps increase the level of happiness within you.
When you return to your bedroom for a night's sleep, take a few minutes to review what you were grateful for and then write down what you could have done better tomorrow.

Turn it into a daily routine, and it'll help you build the momentum you'll need to live your life to the fullest. The more energy you're able to invest in with, the more you'll become appreciative of everything that life has to offer, which begins to rewire your brain differently than before.

Doing this is one of the best ways to help you build the foundation before introducing new and healthy habits in your lifestyle. Comment below with ONE thing you're grateful for today. #gratitude #habits #momentum #ledbetter

Did you know that the leading cause in divorces stems from a lack of communication between couples?⁣
⁣
With that being said, we’ve made it an effort over the last 18 months to communicate and align our goals together because we understand what we each truly want to accomplish our lives. ⁣
⁣
However being completely transparently, this conversation, decision and commitment to one another came from a place of both feeling dissatisfied with where we were at, simply because there was a lack of communication. ⁣

I’ve always struggled to put other before myself, but I didn’t realize how much it was not only hurting my goals and dreams, but Julie as well. Because through conversation, I found out that she wants to see me fulfilling my goals just as much as I love helping other people. ⁣
⁣
So here’s what we did: ⁣
⁣
We each made a list of goals as individuals that we want to achieve individually, and then we compared lists to find ways that we could support one another in them. ⁣
⁣
Some of the goals happened to be similar, so we found ways to align them so we could each hold each other accountable - such as prioritizing taking care of ourselves (body, mind + soul) before we can pour into each other or other people. ⁣
⁣
Although it wasn’t easy at first (just like anything new), it’s been hands down the most incredible thing we’ve done for our marriage. ⁣
⁣
It’s helped deepen our love for one other, improve our abilities to communicate, leveraged empathy whenever we came to disagreements, & cheered each other when we’ve accomplished our goals. ⁣
⁣
After experiencing incredible growth in ourselves & our marriage, I believe so strong that is important for married couples to have both: individual & couple goals that are regularly communicated and celebrated. ⁣
⁣
It is an absolute must and it is healthy. It’s what creates harmony and allow both of you to reach your dreams. When that alignment is secure, there is no limit how much you two can accomplish together!⁣

Hey, a serious question here: do you ever get frustrated whenever you compare yourself to others? Well, I’m in the same boat with you and I want you to know you’re destined for greatness. Much more than you think, hear me out.⁣
⁣
We all have the capacity to become successful. We’re equipped with gifts and talents. But why are you wasting your time comparing yourself to someone else, especially with things you don’t have yet? I believe it is far more superior for you to make decisions based on what truly makes you happy instead of doing things to please others. ⁣
⁣
If you want to start and be happy, be good to yourself. Like right now. It may sound self-evident, but many people don’t this very first step into themselves! Here are a couple of short tips that helps you get your own kind of happiness back in your life.

Learn to commit in doing one nice thing for yourself daily (i.e. doing a hobby you enjoy).⁣
⁣
Listen to yourself – pay attention how you’d criticize yourself (always be honest).⁣
⁣
Forgive yourself. You cannot get your past back but you can focus on present and future.⁣
⁣
Accept yourself as you are right now (but strive for growth).⁣
⁣
Remove toxic people in life and workplace (trust me, it isn’t easy but worth it).⁣
⁣
Prioritize your health.⁣
⁣
Breathe.⁣
⁣
At the end of each day, the more you’re able to spend on building yourself up, the more you’re able to give others sooner than later. I know this may seem super short but I hope this shows you that there are no such as secrets or short-cuts in life other than taking care of yourself first. ⁣
⁣
This is a post I wish I’ve applied years ago but I am thankful I’ve learned the hard way. Trust me. #selfcare #ledbetter #liveeverydaybetter

Stop scrolling – I want you to know that life is like a roller coaster ride – learn to relax your hands, laugh more, and enjoy the ride. ⁣
⁣
The reason I am saying this to you is because you may feel like you’re missing out on what the world is offering because of the highlight stories being posted by others. Let me tell you – you can start and enjoy your life in a new way by completely changing your mindset.⁣
⁣
You see… to make this happen, it takes one thing to act on. We live in an instant gratification world filled with distractions that sometimes we forget to take a step back. Here are a couple of things that I have implemented over the year that helped me not to take my life so seriously.⁣
⁣
Learn to laugh more often.⁣
⁣
Learn to hug more often.⁣
⁣
Learn to move more often.⁣
⁣
Learn to reflect more often.⁣
⁣
Learn to indulge more often.⁣
⁣
Learn to think positive more often. ⁣
⁣
Learn to celebrate others’ wins more often.⁣
⁣
We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to it. The more we learn how to control what we think, how we breath, how we carry our attitudes with, and our reactions – the more we’re able to see a positive shift in our lives.⁣
⁣
This post is a reminder that you are already enough. You already won because you’re alive right now. Now, try your hardest to bring things you enjoy back in your life – when it comes to coloring books, riding bicycles, playing board games, etc. Now it’s time for you to honor your life and fill it with a purpose.⁣
