6 months ago I didn’t really know what the hell I was doing..

I started fight training when attacks on Asians were rampant. All I knew was I didn’t want to be one of those people who complained and said “Stop it!”, because clearly that didn’t help when I was bullied as a kid. So I took it upon myself to learn actual methods to defend myself and people I want to protect if a situation occurred.

6 months later it seemed like the attacks on asians simmered down but I’m still training.. Was it because Shang Chi came out and people respect asians again ????????? Regardless of the ever- changing social mood, I decided to stick with it. Fight training and measuring my progress has been one of the most fulfilling things I’ve had in my life since I found dance and music. Thanks to all the people I’ve trained with as well as people shooting tips in my stories- I take everything in ????‍♂️. Not sure where I’ll be 6 months from now but I’m enjoying where its going. ????????

One other thing I picked up during the pandemic was fight training..

To be honest dancing wasn’t giving me the same excitement as it used to.. With fighting I’m feeling lost, confused, challenged.. but most important, excited that I’m just learning again ????‍♂️.

Dance is a definite physical challenge of the mind.. Fighting is a physical challenge of the mind that really tests how far the human body can go and dances on the thin line between Life, Death, and serious injury..
