Celebrating the end of Pride month with a new personal series of prints. This project started when @ravenvalentinee asked me to photograph her prior to her facial feminization surgery. I was so honored to be part of such a deeply personal process for her. Every day on social media we are all trading on these self-constructed, idealized versions of ourselves, so I thought it was really beautiful that she wanted to artfully document herself at this stage in her transition. Raven was in the process of raising funds for her surgery and recovery through GoFundMe, so we decided to sell prints from our shoot with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the subjects — as a way of providing direct aid and support. Raven and I also wanted to include two of our friends and artists we admire, @pierrehommes and @baileystiles247 . All three of these women embody so much strength, power and beauty, and we wanted to celebrate that in our own way ❤️
