Here at Lush Exeter we are passionate about fighting injustice and supporting those who are raising their voices in protest!!

Today these wonderful people lead a protest against the PCSC bill that aims to give the police more ‘power’.

The bill threatens our right to protest and free speech by proposing that any gathering deemed ‘disruptive’ can be shut down and protesters may face prison time. Protests are inherently disruptive, that is the purpose of them... making people stop and listen!

Not only does it affect our right to protest but it also directly impacts all traveler communities as they will be targeted and removed from any public land they are on which will impact both health and education of those communities by stopping the chance to settle long enough to enroll in schools or doctor surgeries.

The PCSC bill contains a lot of fear mongering, prejudice enhancing and democracy threatening information and we at Lush Exeter always strive for equality and freedom of the individual!
