The ten floors of office space are designed for the contemporary worker in a post-Covid world, supported by efficient layouts and a hospitality-driven environment at the street level. We are thrilled to unveil 55 Yonge, a landmark 66-storey purpose-built apartment and office tower designed with collaborating architects BDP Quadrangle (@BDPQuadrangle) for H&R REIT. Located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, directly adjacent to King Station on the TTC’s Yonge subway line, the building will include nearly 500 new residential rental units, and state-of-the-art offices that will respond to the city’s rapid growth while achieving a cohesive and contemporary high-rise design. Kristin studied Arts and Business at the University of Toronto, and before joining Partisans, worked for a diverse number of companies across various fields. In continuing to celebrate International Women’s Week, we want to share some more projects, old and new, that have been led by the great women at our office. Suzan Ibrahim (second image) graduated from the Architectural Association of London, and before joining Partisans worked at OMA Rotterdam and New York, and C.F. Moller. She is currently leading some exciting (but confidential) projects, which she is eager to be able to share in the near future. In the meantime, since we cannot share the most recent projects she is leading, we asked her to select a less recent project that reflects her way of working. The selected project, pictured here, is the National Concert Hall for the City of Vilnius (2019), where art materiality and narrative come together.

As a way to celebrate International Women’s Week, we want to share some of our recent projects that have been led by the amazing women at our office. The masterplan for Innisfil is currently led by Trisha Arts, alongside the studio partners. Most recently, the team has been working closely with Cortel Group and Metrolinx with a focus on the station (pictured here). Trisha Arts is also leading an institutional project, currently under construcion. She graduated from the University of Toronto, and before joining Partisans worked at KPMB and workAC.
