I have slept in a tent every single night since July 20. Tonight at a campground on the shores of Lake Rollins is the very last night. I have discovered a public shower ? that will run me 25 cents a minutes. I intend to shower for about 120 minutes but I don’t have $30 worth of quarters with me. Incredibly memorable experience on my first “High Adventure” with @boyscoutsofamerica . All these things - backpacking, hiking, camping, river rafting and so much more that I would never do in the course of my “regular” life. What a great opportunity to enjoy so many experiences and so much fellowship with a great group of people who, for the most part, I hardly knew at all. I think reentry is going to be a real process for both my son and I. But first that shower…..and maybe a shave. See you on TV on Wednesday.

Halfway through our “High Adventure” program with @boyscoutsofamerica . Incredibly beautiful high mountain lakes in and around the Desolation Wilderness area. One more week to go. Very quick stop with civilization in Placerville and then back to all tents/backpacks, etc. Lake swims aside I think when the opportunity presents itself to take an actual shower…. I may stay under the water for a very long time. All told, A memorable and deeply worthwhile experience

Here is the most interesting part - Rulk says cognition is everything, that the brain is the most important muscle of all. Looking forward to learning more about that.
