Watching a man do work to overcome fear is truly magical. ?

I believe in God. I can’t prove him to people but I’ve seen miracles with my own eyes and I’ve built a really rad relationship with him. He’s humbled the fuck out of me and brought me to my knees many times in life. He’s also shown me things and given me things that are invaluable. I can’t prove him to you but I quit trying a long time ago. I simply live my life all in and do what he tells me to do and I suspect that’s the best thing I can do to testify of him... I have no doubt in my mind LIONS NOT SHEEP came from him. I have no doubt he has caused these posts to go viral and he’s handed me this megaphone to speak through. I don’t doubt any of this. Which is why when he pushes me to do uncomfortable things I know there is a new level I’m getting ready to play. I have faith in that, and that’s why I just keep moving my feet and jumping when he says to jump. It’s not blind faith to me anymore because it’s proven itself. It’s science to me now. LISTEN -> ACKNOWLEDGE -> ACT -> EXPAND. It’s always like this. For the next 48 hours I have the honor of leading 500 people on a journey. Tomorrow all 500 of us jump into a new possibility. Some will jump into deeper waters than others, and some will just take their first step, but all of us will move. Conquer the ?.

Some of y’all are too busy trying to be PERFECT that you forget to be REAL. This is my buddy Ryan and his lovely wife Amy on stage at Lions Den Live. He and I have both built followings and businesses around not just our skill set, but our STORY. Ryan is a felon and spent time in prison. He doesn’t hide that, he talks about it. He and I both went through rough divorces and we both spent time struggling financially and emotionally. At one point I put a 9mm in my mouth and wanted to end my life, and he wanted to jump off a building. Darkness and demons are things he and I both STILL dance with on the regular, and to say we learned from the school of hard knocks is an understatement.

Yet here we are sitting on a stage with our beautiful queens running businesses and driving fun sports cars. I’ve known Ryan for probably 8 years now and I’ve never seen him this healthy, wealthy or most of all HAPPY. And to be candid, I’m right there with him. Yet our past is wild. We are the “fuck ups” your mom likely warned you to stay away from. We are tattooed dudes people move to the other side of the street to avoid. We made all the “mistakes” and have the “records” to prove it.

I don’t hide from my divorce, depression or the fact I lost millions and went bankrupt years ago. I OWN THAT SHIT and that is what makes me the man I am today.

Losing millions is what’s helped me become a good businessman. Spending time in the joint is what’s helped Ryan be the father and role model he is to his sons and having an absent and abusive father is what’s made me the father I am today. We don’t run or hide from our past, WE OWN IT AND USE IT TO BUILD NEW.
