Broccoli and Carrot Upma Fuel your mornings with a bowl of upma! I know what you might be thinking—not everyone is a fan of upma. But trust me, when it's made with a little extra love and passion, it transforms into the most comforting breakfast. This recipe is my absolute favorite, and I'm sharing all my secrets so you can fall in love with it too! Give this quick tutorial a watch and let me know what you think. #upma #breakfast #healthyrecipes #comfortfood #indianfood #breakfastideas #nutritiousanddelicious 1) Roast 1 cup semolina in a pan. 2) Heat 5 tbsp oil on low flame and add 1 tsp mustard seeds, once it stops spluttering, add 1 tbsp urad dal qnd fry few seconds and it turns light brown. 3) Now add few curry leaves, 1 tbsp chopped ginger, green chili, and 1 medium onion sliced. Fry until onion softens (2 to 3 minutes) 4) Add chopped broccoli, carrots and boiled green peas along with 1 small chopped tomato. 5) season with 3/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder. Place the lid and cook until veggies are done. (5 min on low flame) 6) Add 1 and 1/2 cup water, chopped coriander leaves and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Let the water come to a steady boil. 7) Turn off the heat and slowly add roasted semolina with one hand and keep stirring with the other. 8) Turn on the heat, and place the lid, cook on slow flame for 5 minutes. 9) Finally stir again and turn off heat. 10) Serve hot with ghee.
