2020’s Pandemic taught me so much about my business & myself, but the most important thing it taught me is life is too short & family is everything ??♥️! As the baker people have SOO many expectations for me & it can honestly become mentally draining! For those who know me & been following me have seen I’ve baked my own wedding cake, gender reveal, babyshower, many friends & family events.. etc & I always found myself stressed, running late, looking a hot mess, exhausted & never getting to enjoy those special moments ! This time around I said to hell with a cake ? the set up I had in mind came together so beautifully without one & I got to coordinate in peace! I got to spend my week off with my baby & husband & catch up on some need quality family time ?? I’m not going to lie as the days got closer I started to feel so guilty ?but I’m so glad I didn’t give in?! I’m learning to live for myself & in the moment, & not for “the gram”! So yeah we used her 1st bday faux cake as a display added some balloons on it & bought some shoprite cakes for our guests & called it a day! & I got to enjoy myself for like the 1st time at a party in years! ??? I know many of you can relate sometimes you just gotta do whats best for you ? Cheers to building memories, enjoying life & living in the moment ? ?
