? today is my 29th birthday! ?⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ I’d like to share some of my favorite things that were brought to me by the year 28.⁣ ⁣ ? Wrote a book ⁣ .⁣ ? I became an aunt! ??⁣ .⁣ ? I finally upgraded from an iPhone6 ⁣ .⁣ ? Prozac & Lorazapem changed my life. ⁣ .⁣ ✅ I worked with the last brand on my dream list and got to make a new dream list! ⁣ .⁣ ? Celebrated my 2nd wedding anniversary⁣ .⁣ ? Got a new tattoo (I already have my next two in mind!) ⁣ .⁣ ? Survived a major depressive episode.⁣ .⁣ ✈️ Flew with Preston for the first time! ⁣ .⁣ ? Shots, shots, shots, shots! ♥️⁣ .⁣ ?‍♀️ I made 2 new friends! (That’s way harder than it sounds as a grown up in a pandemic with a lot of anxiety). ⁣ .⁣ ? Did some shoots that were beyond unreal!⁣ .⁣ ? I found a lot of joy in challenging myself in making short form videos like TikToks & Reels that I didn’t find in other videos. ⁣ .⁣ ? Preston is still the best cinnamon roll in the whole pack, he’s good to the core. ⁣ .⁣ ? 28 was a year that I really started to like me, for all my flaws, my symmetry, mental illnesses, talent, strengths, weakness, quirks, diagnosis, confidence, sex appeal, anxiousness, my depression, and profound uncoolness. I love personal growth. I embraced my clumsy feet and my dorky dancing. I stopped feeling like I should want plants. I have started to love being a sensitive person and having big feelings and big emotions and a big personality. I’ve embraced being high maintenance. I decided I needed to find friends who thought that I was worth the maintenance, not to make myself smaller and to ignore my emotional needs. I’m learning about boundaries. I give good advice and can’t calculate a tip. I’m kind of mean when it’s too hot out. I’m an empath. I always show up, even at 2am. I only wear one color of lipstick. And I like all of those parts, for good and bad. So now, 29! . . so happy birthday to me, thank you, from the bottom of my funfetti cake, all so much for being here with me. Your friendship and kindness and community always continue to inspire me and having you here with me has been an important part of my self love. I can never tell you all how much that means to me. ?♥️
