Texas inspired cooking with Mexican flavours. Been wanting to try @andy_low_n_slow for a while and thankfully his food kit is now on @restaurantkits. All about the succulent smoked pork shoulder and chicken skewers which you can then build your tacos but got to love that elote! You smother this with whipped charred garlic ricotta, crema, sprinkle parmesan and some seasoning salt. Proper Mexican feast for all the household. Thoroughly recommend though there are tons of other good kits on their website for your taste. #PRSample #thinkingfood247

Crispy Chicken or Roast Miso Trout: What do you like the look of most? Both were from @zested_uk which favours responsibly sourced and ethically reared ingredients. I think the trout (swipe right) with buckwheat noodles and pickles shaded the win over the chicken with butter beans this time. But that first salsa verde with lemony caper sauce was a real winner. With eco packaging becoming the norm too, I’m really liking the option of kits like these which put the planet first and foremost especially in recent times. #PRSample #thinkingfood247

You might know of @trade_coffee for their breakfast, lunch and of course fab coffee, but did you know they now have a new dinner menu in their Essex Road branch? I got to try and though some things were hit and miss for me it’s early days and good to see them starting an evening service as the ambiance inside seems made for it too.

SAVE this post for the recs:
• Truffle cheese puffs (perfect bite size snack, so light and fluffy)
• Smoked beetroot (fav out of all the veggie small plates if you need a bit of health)
• Broken merguez (great idea as a patty. Spicy but complimented with the flatbread and tzatziki well - would like this as a burger!)
• Chicken schnitzel (crispy and well cooked and with a fried egg always works. Would say it’s a tad pricey though, so the pork belly dish judging by pics online looks a good alternative too).
• Chocolate creme (with miso caramel & praline I mean chocolate addicts will love it, my mate wolfed it down so quick I barely got a sniff).

Double trouble. First time having the Chilli 2.0 from @honestburgers and it was quite spicy with its chilli cheese, jalapeños and hot sauce. Though next time I’ll still add an extra bit of hot sauce actually. Like that shoestring potatoes addition and they always seem to cook it to order perfectly too. One of the tenderest fillet steaks I’ve had this past year as part of @classicdeli_uk Ultimate Steak night box. It comes with a host of curated and premium items (like salt & pepper, Italian olive oil, French butter & Dijon mustard) to help take that Argentinan steak to the next level. Including a fabulous Malbec pairing. I then teamed it with some of my homemade favs:
• Creamy Dijon mushroom sauce
• Homemade Triple cooked chips
• Portobello mushroom with an garlic onion crumb
• Roasted vine tomatoes
• Watercress salad

Honestly one of my fav overall meals I’ve had this year. Just shows quality in every item, inc the ones you make yourself really does matter. #PRSample #thinkingfood247
