This photo was taken two years ago. It was Luca’s first Christmas with us. The boys snuggled up and fell asleep, then I gently placed lights over them, grabbed my camera and snapped this photo ❤️ it’s a memory I hold close to my heart!

I’m hoping to capture a few holiday photos this year once Vito is feeling up for it. He’s getting stronger everyday and his incision no longer has bruising around it ????????❤️ we’re still waiting for the biopsy results and until then, we’re channeling the lyrics from Silent Night - all is calm and all is bright ✨ Vito is keeping calm and doing his part to heal. Today we had Vito’s consultation with his surgeon and tomorrow morning he’ll get checked in for his splenectomy. Once the mass is removed it will be sent out to be biopsied and we should learn the results within 7-10 days ????????

Please continue to pray for my boy Vito ❤️ He is the glue that holds our little family together. He’s my rock and Luca’s mentor. Vito is our best friend, our family, our life partner. All we want for Christmas is Vito…we want him to have a successful surgery, a strong recovery and for his mass to be benign. I know we’re overdue for a Vito update…he’s getting stronger everyday and recovering from pneumonia ???????? He’s even tried to get frisky with Luca so that’s another good sign ???? His activity has to be fairly low-key due to his splenic mass so I had to breakup the romantic playtime. It’s great to see him acting like himself again though.

Honestly I haven’t had a chance to post much because my attention has been solely on Vito and quality time with both my boys. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried but I think that comes with being a mom. I still believe in my heart that his mass is benign. It’s the waiting to learn this that’s wearing on me. Monday night I had anxiety and woke up with chest pains. I haven’t been sleeping well either. But every time I look into Vito’s big brown eyes, I feel grounded. Even though he can’t speak, he communicates with his eyes and body language. With one simple look and his paw to my hand, he reminds me that we’re a team - together we’re strong, we’re fighters and we never give up ❤️

On Sunday I said this in a story and I want to say it once again - YOU all are part of our team. I truly believe your prayers, your love and your good vibes are watching over my boy and keeping him healthy. There’s strength in numbers and with your prayers I know Vito is going to have a successful surgery, his mass will be benign and Vito will live for many years to come ????????❤️ #alliwantforchristmas
