10 frames in Margate last week. Taking different cameras off the shelf every day this month, a mixture of old favorites (like this) and new additions. A nice way to warm up the eye to start the year. Kodak Tri-X, Plaubel Makina 670. Processed with Ilford DD-X in an AGO. Scanned with a VALOI easy120 + Sony A7RII + Sigma Art macro, and converted with Negative Lab Pro. @kodak @kodakprofessional @kodakprofessional_europe @valoi.co @vintagevisual.eu

While scanning a roll of 35mm adapted to medium format last week, I realized I’d not shared a bunch of similarly sprocket-filled panoramic frames from a few days in Joshua Tree near the end of ‘24. Somehow, this was my first time in Joshua Tree National Park and it did not disappoint. Still thinking about all those textures (and the mountains, always love mountains), might have to swing by again this year on our next CA trip. And yes, the electric Mustang was a pretty fun ride ✌???? @kodakprofessional #portra160 @richardphotolab @joshuatreenps @retreathomesteadmodern

2026-01-01 6/8 — Been under the weather for a few days and haven’t been outside much, so went for a quick walk at sunset to make sure I started the year with some film. @mintcamera SLR670-S (i-Type) + @polaroid ????️ (+ a few shots with a fisheye lens)

When we pause long enough to notice what matters, we see the moments that shape how we understand ourselves and others. Today’s Through Your Lens feature offers one of those moments. We’re excited to feature our Board of Creatives member, Dan Rubin (@danrubin), sharing a reflection on gratitude and the quiet power of paying closer attention. His story explores how photography can deepen presence, strengthen connection, and turn everyday moments into meaningful creative memories — an experience that closely echoes what youth often describe through the 100cameras program. What do you hold dear this time of year? Share your photo and tag @100cameras to be featured. This season, all gifts through December 31 are matched up to $25,000, supporting scholarships and program access for youth worldwide. www.100cameras.org/donate (link in bio)

8 Days of Super 8 - Day 1 ????: @danrubin ????: @kodak_shootfilm 50D, Tri-X, and Ektachrome Super 8 “I’ve always loved how beautiful unedited footage looks straight from the lab, yet we rarely share it in that form. A reel of Super 8 or 16mm film holds so much visual goodness which usually stays hidden until it’s edited. This summer I started wondering what the moving equivalent of a darkroom contact sheet might look like, so I wrote a script that could turn any footage into a moving contact sheet — every frame distributed across a grid, all playing at once. These rectangles are a collection of moving micro-stories; it’s mesmerizing to watch. I’m getting ready to release it as a macOS + iOS app and seeing what others do with it.” – Dan Rubin For the next 8 days we’ll be featuring a different Super 8 project to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Super 8 Film Format. #MadeWithKodak

A conversation is powerful, and if you listen and are open, there is a lot to learn. I always start my Podcast Projects when I am searching for something - attempting to understand something or find a new path. That is the background to this Podcast project (WDCMTY?). I think the latest episode with @danrubin especially captures that idea. A conversation filled with new perspectives and consideration over a wide range of topics and ideas. Dan is an internationally recognized photographer, designer, and creative director known for his pioneering work in mobile photography and visual storytelling. Born in the United States and based in the UK, he built his career at the intersection of design, travel, and technology. Rubin was among the first photographers to gain prominence on Instagram, helping shape early trends in mobile photography and visual composition. A sought-after speaker and workshop leader, he has collaborated with global brands including Apple, Google, Adobe, American Express, and Leica. His photography spans portraiture, travel, editorial, and commercial work, and his design background includes product design, branding, and user-experience consulting. Rubin also co-founded several creative ventures, including web-focused studios and community projects, and continues to influence the fields of digital creativity and modern photography. The episode is available via YouTube & Spotify.
