Welcome to the Sharjah children’s reading festival! ✨ ????Expo Centre Sharjah ????️April 23 to May 4 You’ve probably already seen some of these on my story ???? honestly this event exceeded my expectations. I was already excited to visit, but being there was just something else. I hadn’t been to any bookish events until I moved to the UAE. The scale on which they make these events is incredible. To see so many book lovers of all ages in one place is a different feeling all together. They had a special section dedicated to children’s book illustrations. This was one of my favourite parts of the festival. It encompassed artists of all ages and from all parts of the world. I included 3 of my favourite in this post, but honestly there were so many amazing ones. Definitely worth checking! There was a cute little nook where you can take a small quiz and it generates your spirit animal, and writes you a small story. I got the hare ????✨ there was also the Sherlock Holmes exhibit! This one was to die for ???? they had the actual automobile prop from the Sherlock Holmes: A game of shadows movie. This exhibition is said to be the most accurate replica of Sherlock’s office. I included some pictures for all the Sherlock lovers ???? Of course I can’t not talk about the Big Bad Wolf book sale, as well as all the other book booths ???? I managed to keep myself in check and only came out with 2 books (be proud of me). They had a good selection of young adult, adult, and children’s books, so there’s definitely something for everyone. There’s also a space for the comic lovers! They have so many activities for the kids. They’ll be occupied doing things like cooking, painting on canvases, game designing on Roblox, an interactive experience in the world of science, and so much more. This festival was truly a wonder to experience. If you’re in the UAE please do check this out. Have you seen Thunderbolts yet? ⚡️ Went to see Thunderbolts the other night! I haven’t been this excited for a new Marvel movie in a while. Honestly this movie felt a bit like a therapy session and I didn’t mind it one bit ???? I love found family and I love it even more when they’re misfits. PS. There are 2 post credit scenes so make sure you stay! (But hopefully you knew that already ????)

Happy world book day! Life is good when there’s a new Emily Henry book out in the wild ????????✨ I can’t get my hands on Great Big Beautiful Life just yet, but I’m so excited! I read Beach Read and Funny Story last year and I loved both to the extent that I still can’t choose which one I loved more ???? does anyone else feel the same way? I have People We Meet on Vacation left to read (aside from the new release) that I’m planning on starting soon.
