Front Yard Update - Part 2 ???? This has been SO FUN to plan and it’s looking so different from just a few months ago. First, we dug up the front gravel yard, laid patio and created a sleeper border (you can see this a few posts back ????????). So what’s happened now? ???? The windows and masonry have been painted - I did the inside of the sash and fascia in a soft brown and the rest in a warm stone ???? The railings were sanded down, primed and repainted ???? The panelling was reinstated - it was made from scratch by Phil the joiner and looks as if it’s been there for years ???? Planted the borders with grasses, verbena and rosemary ???? Replaced the (non original) stained glass window with a frosted door number (ordered this from @kimberliteglass who were great and super efficient) ???? Finally, the job will be finished with the new (reclaimed) front door which has been brought back to life by Phil and will be fitted on Saturday Swipe across to see a reminder of how it looked before ???? Super happy with the colours and a great job done by Richard Stelloo Decorators who I would highly recommend if you’re Yorkshire based ???????? Next step - DOOR ???? . The inside of the house might look like the set of Trainspotting and I might be washing up in Leo’s shower room bidet but the front of the house is looking ???? to trot ???????? Super happy with the new door, the final bit of the front yard renovation - Phil the carpenter (who has done loads of front doors on our road so knows his stuff) found a reclaimed door for me and brought it back to life perfectly, even making the side panelling from scratch ???????? The door furniture I bought from @grace_and_glory_home including the fish knocker (always a Pisces) and I am so glad I invested ???? The door colour matches the inner window frames and I’ll take this colour through to the back as well ???????? Also took out the Charles Rennie Mackintosh stylie (not original, was actually new) and replaced with frosted glass with number (thank you @kimberliteglass for excellent service ✔️) and now, I am MORE than happy to walk up the path ????
