As an artist, I sometimes really feel like I need to put the screen away, To find true inspiration, I get out into the real world, I have to go where I can feel the scale of a space and see the way light hits a surface. So, to get out of a creative rut and spark a new creative process, I decided to pay a visit to the Mamluki Lancet Mosque, designed by Babnimnim You can really feel that it’s a modern take on the old geometric soul of Mamluki architecture, the kind of unique beauty you see in Islamic Cairo, but brought into today’s world,Even the way the whole building turns to face the Qibla feels both intentional and grounding I’m naturally drawn to the details, I spent hours watching how the shadows shifted across the walls as the sun moved, It’s almost like the building is constantly changing into something new The most exciting ideas often get "cleaned up" until they’re just practical and dull, It’s honestly so refreshing to see a public space, especially a mosque, that isn't afraid to be so intricate and rich, It’s a reminder that design can still have a soul????✨ مبارك عليكم الشهر????
