One time I had a wallet chain that was connected to my belt loop with a hook, and not a connecting latch mechanism. I hit a bump and it moved up enough to come completely off my belt loop. The hook, along with all my keys dropped down into the chain of my bike. I immediately grabbed the chain and pulled it up off the bike. If it would have got caught in my wheel, I probably wouldn’t be here right now! Lesson learned.

I think this bike is finally ready for a trip???????????? The past 6 months I’ve been riding this bike around town, figuring out its quirks, what’s normal sounds and what’s not, tightening things that get loose and building confidence with each ride. The furthest I’ve ever ridden this bike in a day is around 40 miles. This weekend I’m taking it out to the desert and riding to Arizona from there! Little by little getting used to this old 1948 Harley Davidson Panhead. Thanks to Cody @hawgsupply for teaching me so much about these old bikes.
