MORE THAN THE MILES. Swipe to see the new tattoo ???? A few months ago, the @bpnsupps team decided to run Leadville 100. I say “the team” ran Leadville 100, even though @nickbarefitness was the only one to cover all 100 miles by foot, because everyone on the team played a vital role over those 27 hours. Everyone on the team put in an incredible amount of work to get Nick across the finish line, and nobody’s job was more or less important than the other. It was a true team effort. We often times only see the end goal or accomplishment, and fail to realize what actually takes place to get there. So, whatever your goal is, whatever you’re working towards- work hard, enjoy the process, learn from the experience, and don’t lose sight of your purpose. If you want to go fast, go alone. Much fitness was had in 2021. Fitness teaches us all valuable life lessons like how to work hard, how to deal with adversity, and how to be intentional. It also is something that brings people together. There is something about suffering with somebody else that nurtures a mutual respect for one another. It is a privilege to surround myself with some incredible athletes and people in and out of the @bpnsupps HQ gym. We are very thankful for these friendships and relationships made over the past year. I love using the @assaultfitness Air Runner. So much that I actually have one in my garage. It allows me to be able to run and not leave the house when the kids are sleeping. Here are my tips for running on the Assault Runner: 1. Run in the center of the runner- if you are too far back you won’t move, and if you are too far forward, you won’t be able to keep up. 2. Keep your body stacked- your body should be in a straight line from your head to your ankles. 3. Don’t overreach- in order to go faster, increase your cadence. Overreaching will cause you to lose control.

Why is it so cold in Texas? 515# felt smooooooth. Deadlifts with @bpnsupps athlete @miss.amanda.ann. Amanda is a 2x IPF World Champion and it was an absolutely unreal experience witnessing her strength in person. She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet but at the same time will make you feel like like you need to put more work in the gym. We worked up to a heavy single deadlift and then backed off for a few working sets. What a blast having you in town for the past two days, Amanda! #TeamBPN #GoOneMore

With my busy schedule, I don’t get to train in the BPN HQ gym as often as I would like, but I always soak up every minute of it. One of the things I always have in my gym bag is @kttape. Got a workout in with @sheaklink today while I was off. Save this one for the next time you need a good partner workout! 25 Minute AMRAP: Partner 1: Max Calorie Bike Partner 2: 10 Burpees 15 DB Snatched (50/35#) 50 Double Unders Mama and I got 7 rounds. I finished off the session with some barbell cycling. Just trying to stay smooth and have every rep look the same.

My top 5 Muscle Up tips: 1. POSITIONING- Start hollow (core tight) when you grab the rings to start your kip. 2. POINT YOUR TOES- On the backend of your kip (superman position) point your toes as far away from your hands as your can. Don’t break at the knee. 3. HIP DRIVE- Drive your momentum up using your hips. 4. ARM PULL- The first part of the pull is a straight arm pull (like a toes to bar). The second your hips reach their peake. Pull the rings into the bottom of your chest. 5. KEEP RINGS TIGHT- Think about keeping your knuckles close together as you transition over the rings so you have stability in your catch.
