BUT WHAT IS AN NFT? ?
For those who are new to the concept of NFTs: A non-fungible token is a digital asset that can have just about anything built into it: A piece of art, a course, a book, coaching access, intellectual property, an experience. It’s pretty exciting stuff and it represents a huge part of the future of creative practice.

As a Creatrix you might mint an NFT that gives a buyer both digital and physical access to your artwork.

So that could look like:
?An actual real life painting and a digital version.
? Limited editions and special editions.
? Or your NFT gives someone access to commissioning you.
? You might create a digital artwork that also gives the buyer the opportunity to meet you.
? Or gives buyers access to a course or coaching with you.

I’m excited about the opportunity that this new space offers women and people who have not historically had autonomy over their own IP. This is our time! ?

UPDATE FOR PEEPS ASKING ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
NFTs are not on the Bitcoin blockchain, although many people believe they are. They’re in fact part of the Ethereum blockchain (and a few others like WAX). At the moment Eth uses less energy than Bitcoin to mine. Eth uses 62.56KWh. Bitcoin uses a whopping 707 KWh. Ethereum creators have pledged to reduce the consumption by 90% by switch to a new process called “proof of stake” starting this July 2021.
