Today 10 years ago...on July 15th, 2011 I arrived at LAX with two suitcases, a little bit of money and a BIG dream. To become an actor and find fame in Hollywood. Somehow I was under the illusion that I’m going to be a superstar in 2 years. As most of you probably know I am not a Hollywood superstar lol. But what I did find was a life beyond my wildest dreams. (And trust me, I had some wild dreams during my younger years). People say this town is all about relationships. Well isn’t life in general? I found a relationship to something higher then myself. I found a person that I want to spend the rest of my life with and even got married to her. I have relationships with the most amazing friends, mentors and teachers one could ask for. I became the man I was always supposed to be, and I have today a loving and kind relationship with myself (most of the time :). That definitely wasn’t always that way. I could not have done this alone. My story is full of the most wonderful people from all nations, races and religions who loved me, took me in their arms when I needed it, believed in me when I didn’t and and supported me through the ups and downs. Words can not describe the amount gratitude I have for these beautiful humans. One life time is not enough time to repay what was forwarded to me so freely. I make a daily effort to not forget that and commit, for the rest of my life, to give back as much as I can. Much Love, Alain Ali Washnevsky

Once upon a time there were three TENORists. (well one of them was actually a BASS) @josephkamal8 @jonathan.avigdori @alainsky All they wanted to do was to sing and dance and to talk about their big dream. To audition for @westsidestorymovie This was their audition tape. Didn’t get a callback though.

I finally got new headshots. It’s the third time I shot with @adamhendershott from @closeupcrewla. And I’m planning on doing my 4th time- whenever that’s going to be- with him as well. Just a great experience overall, ease, fun, lot’s of laughter and a ton of great shots. Here are a few. Also thank you to my great management for your continued guidance and support. @braveartistsmanagement

I have been thinking and rethinking these words for a few months now. I knew all along it’ll be ready to share when I’m ready. So here it is. Covid changed our life’s and many of us had to direct our focus on other things...and so I did. At the beginning of the pandemic a dear friend introduced me to a dear friend of his and we started talking. A few month later I was asked if I’d like to create a film. Something meaningful with a clear message. Something that can make a difference. So I started developing with a very talented writer who happens to be a dear friend as well, a script for a short film. Then I was asked if I’d like to direct this film. I said yes. The last few months have been one of the most demanding, educating and artistically fulfilled times ever. I learned so much by having to think like someone who stands behind the camera. “Where art meets excel sheets” I’d like to call it. Long story short...10 months, a world wide pandemic (we’re still in it) and a phenomenal cast and crew later, I’m having my debut as a director and filmmaker. So much gratitude for so many people who support me, allow me and trust me. Eisenhower said: Plans are worthless. Planning is everything. I’m excited for this new journey and ready to play. Storytelling is one of the oldest art forms. It was a gift to humanity. Being a storyteller is a privilege and that comes with a responsibility. To share. Action

Seeing “Die Fledermaus” at the Vienna State Opera a year ago was a very special experience. My wife said today what stayed with me the most are the tears in your eyes and that smile all over your face. I remember how inspired I was and how I suddenly heard a voice telling me: “Some day you’ll be standing on that stage. Just keep creating”. I’m not making that up. I saw it clear, heard it loud and felt it visceral. Nothing feeds my soul more than art, stories and music. Thank you for the most wonderful and unforgettable wedding gift my friend. @mindsailor @morgannorthway #diefledermaus #justkeepcreating #friends

Hallo my name is Alain Ali Washnevsky and I’m an immigrant. When I moved in 2011 to this country, I was welcomed by an America that took me in her arms the way a mother takes her child into her arms when it reaches it’s hands out. I got to know an America that was open, celebrated my differences and encouraged me to be me. An America that believed in me and supported me to become the best version of myself. It taught me through examples and lessons about love, values, compassion and to never stop striving for the better. It gifted me with a family, friends, teachers and role models. It showed me that anything is possible if I believe in it and I am willing to work for it. My America gave me a life beyond my wildest dreams. This is the America I got to know. #possibilities

Exactly one year ago, memories were created that will be with me for the rest of my life. When people ask me what my favorite color is, or my favorite movie, or favorite food - I can’t answer that, Too many to choose from. But if you ask me what the best day of my life was...then I know exactly. October 5th. 2019. My wedding day. Happy anniversary my bride.
