so I had the pleasure to spend the last four weeks working in one of my favourite cities. Since covid and the weather made it impossible for me to enjoy Istanbul the way I wanted, I decided to take on a new sport. I have tried boxing one or two times before. Even though I liked it from the start, I had a hard time focusing on anything back then. Because of that I found all of my trainings completely inefficient.
It turned out to be different here and it completely got me. Obviously I was totally knackered every time, but that is exactly why I love it.
“Boxing ain’t really a sport, it’s a form of meditation” Ümit says. And so it is for me now.
