This @switchfoot song came out in 2005 and I got the tattoo in about 2012 when I was going through a really tough time. . Decipher it how you will, but the way I see it is that even in dark times, positive things are happening in the world. When you think about it, on the other side of every shadow is always sunshine or some type of light source. . If we didn't have pain and sorrow sometimes, how would we ever appreciate the good times? Without any comparison, you'd never appreciate it.
