Disclaimer: long and for once serious ish post!(no it’s not a new year new me post but close ?) It’s 2020 and it’s crazy to think how much I’ve changed. I became an adult, a WOMAN in the last decade (like I really started this last decade as a teenager) I learned a lot about who I am and who I want to be. I learned how to stand up for myself and sit strong in my opinions, unbothered. I learned to be more gentle with people I don’t agree with. I learned removing some people from your life is necessary for your peace and it doesn’t matter if it’s a family member or friend, you can wish them well and move on. I grew more open minded, my opinions on many things changed once I started thinking for myself. I moved across the country twice and have officially lived near both oceans. I’ve made friends all over the world. I quit settling in relationships, friendships, and jobs. I started a business in college and sold real estate in college and still managed to get my bachelors degree even though I didn’t want it. I learned business lessons, failed and succeeded and that ultimately my biggest goal career wise is to own multiple businesses. I tried things I never thought I would and went places I’d never thought I’d see growing up. I got on my first plane in this last decade which is weird to think of because I’m on one weekly almost. I learned I don’t really care what people think about me or say about me anymore because my inner circle knows me and the rest is just bored people talking and I have nothing to prove to anyone. For someone who’s favorite word is no I said a lot of yes. Point is I’m proud of the woman I have become in the past 10 years and I’m so excited to see what this year and decade have in store for me because yes I am still a work in progress, but it’s so awesome to see how much I’ve grown and learned about myself. So here’s a picture I never posted from Thailand and I hope you are self-reflecting and loosely planning out your next ten years too. #anovel
