After a long wait of half a year, I finally received my custom-made Darbuka from Gawharet El Fan in Egypt! It features three beautiful mother-of-pearl covers in light brown, gold, and blue, with the inside painted in a matching shade of blue. Instead of the standard size of 23 cm (9 inches), I requested a custom size of 24 cm (9.449 inches) and asked for it to be lighter in weight.
