I was spoke to a friend the other day whose built an 8 figure business, but it had turned into something that they didn’t expect (or frankly enjoy running anymore) I explained that everyone has a different vision for their life and business, and the key is knowing YOUR entrepreneurial archetype...and how to make decisions in line with it so you can build a business that reflects not just your financial goals, but your lifestyle goals too. Regardless of the season I’m in, there were five things I committed to from the beginning. ⚡️ I created scalable offers only. Nothing that was depended on my 1:1 time solely, or capped my income. ⚡️ I learned my client like the back of my hand. I studied what they thought about, desired, their habits, I did hours and hours of market research with REAL people. I did hundreds of market research calls for both @joinmemberup (and most recently @creatrbusiness ????) ⚡️ I built high converting sales systems that worked when I wasn’t, & that weren’t dependent on constant launches. I’ve run several 7 figure launches and the stress, and increased team needed during those times is not sustainable, or supportive of steady consistent growth. ⚡️ I got around people who had walked the path. I asked a million questions, listened to every nuance, and paid well for proven systems that would shortcut my path. ⚡️ Above all, I stayed true to my long term vision, even on the days that challenged me, where I wanted to quit…on the days I didn’t feel like it, or that the excitement of something ‘new’ called my name. I knew my feelings were valid, but they were not facts…so I stopped treating them as instructions, and instead embraced the fact that human experience is a range of emotions- they don’t need to dictate my business decisions or self belief. Judging other people doesn’t hurt them, it just hinders you. It might make you feel better for a moment, but long term all it’s doing is keeping you stuck. Because whatever you judge you repel. Judging someone’s content for being “cringe”? It might be, (as a content creator we all feel cringe from time to time) But at least they’re putting themselves out there, in the position to actually be seen, and win. Judging someone for starting the business? I bet deep down you’re jealous that they’re brave enough to take the step that you haven’t. If you’re honest with yourself, I bet most of the things you really want are direct results others have from being brave enough to be cringe. Judging someone for selling something? Guess what, you’re selling something too. → your time to an employer. Selling is how value is exchanged. Embracing selling means embracing sharing value with others. Resenting selling is withholding value. The more value you create - the more value you’ll receive in return. Keep going ???? (and don’t take on the opinions of those that don’t have the results you want)

How ↓ I used to work at a bank and I HATED Monday mornings. Sunday afternoons I’d be anxiously looking at the clock not wanting the day to end. Unfortunately, I know I’m not alone in this because I see memes about the “Sunday scaries” all over social media with millions of likes. But when really think about it… That’s INSANE. We’re given one shot on this beautiful floating rock, and most of us spend 5 days of the week wishing they’d go faster, to enjoy 2 on the weekend and escape our reality. Then eventually we get to the end of our lives, and all we want is more time. (I know because I lost my partner at 24 years old, and when you’ve experienced something like that, there’s no way you can take time for granted anymore). If this is you and right now you’re selling your time for money, hating what you do, who you do it with, and where you do it from…all the while convincing yourself this is the only way… This is your sign to stop settling and start creating the reality you want to experience. No more excuses. It’s time to create a life you’ll look back on and be able to say - “I really made the most of it and went all in.” I’m no different from you. The only difference is I refused to settle, and I committed to learning and implementing absolutely everything I could from people living life differently. I learned I could use the same knowledge I was using at the bank (finance), but packaged into an online business model that paid infinitely better, and had no ceiling. That one decision to stop settling led me here. Where I have no ceiling on my income, the freedom to design my days however I like, and work with people and on things that are truly fulfilling (@joinmemberup, @unemployedfinance and Rise). I’m not special. I’m just not willing to settle… Are you? Comment “time audit” and I’ll send over the time audit sheet I use each quarter …or whenever I’m feeling the inevitable “so much to do, so little time ???? feeling every founder hits from time to time” The way I see life, it’s like a game of monopoly - you’ve got to know how to manage resources. Money isn’t finite, but time is…so mastering time is equally, if not more important… …but no one teaches us how! That’s on us to learn. This last stretch of the year we’ve got some massive things launching at @joinmemberup, I’m going hard on my health regime, we have a new puppy (@leoleweiner), I’m finally saying yes to podcasts again, and I’m supporting over 300 clients in my coaching business. There’s a lot happening…but I actually feel pretty calm…largely because I’ve figured out how to manage my time and energy using systems that create leverage (and because I work with amazing teams ????????) you might be getting ready to push through the next 5 days… counting down the hours until next weekend. but what if it didn’t have to be that way? what if work and life weren’t fighting each other at all? what if you enjoyed both equally? i started asking myself this question when I worked my bank job. I’d watch the minutes tick down, drinking endless cups of coffee just to make it through the week. ever since then, I’ve been figuring out how to make work and life partners instead of enemies. this month, I made six figures in a week while hanging out with my best friends in lake tahoe and learning how to wake surf. ....and while I’m still learning alot, I think I’ve finally figured out how to balance life, money, and ambition.
