Assemble the roll: Fill each leaf with about a couple tbsp of the meat mixture and roll. (See other reel for full recipe) 2. Spread sauerkraut over the bottom of the crockpot & between each layer of rolls 3. Arrange all the cabbage rolls in the crockpot. If adding smoked meat, add it on the bottom & over the cabbage rolls. 4. Drop bay leaf. 5. Pour all the tomato juice (I use Prego) over the cabbage rolls. 6. Cook on low in nontoxic Greenpan slow cooker ???????? for 12 hours! Enjoy and share this recipe with others!

18 years ago, Pastor Voddie Baucham forever changed the course of my life. It was because of his words that our family chose to homeschool. His sermons breathed life into our home! His book “Family Driven Faith” reshaped not just my parenting, but my heart as a mother. Dan and I don’t homeschool because we think it guarantees our children’s salvation, and we don’t avoid public school because we think it guarantees their destruction. Only Jesus can change their hearts. But we are called to disciple them — to point them to the Savior and train them to love and obey His Word in every part of life. With seven children, we’ve come to believe that Christian education isn’t just a good idea — it’s a biblical calling. Ephesians 6:4 reminds us to bring our children up “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” That calling doesn’t pause when the school day begins. Homeschooling is beautiful, but it’s also hard. It’s early mornings, long days, constant noise, and piles of dishes and laundry that never seem to end. It’s sacrificing personal time, comfort, and sometimes even sanity ????. But it’s holy work — and we count it joy to be the ones shaping their hearts and minds toward truth every day. Some say they send their children to public school to be “salt and light.” And while that sounds admirable, as Voddie Baucham said, “Your children can’t be salt until they have it.” Our first mission is to put the salt in them — to fill them with truth before sending them into a world that denies it. We don’t homeschool because it’s easy — we do it because we love God and our children too much to hand their discipleship to a system that doesn’t know Him. Our “why” runs deeper than academics or flexibility. It’s about rendering to God what belongs to Him — every hour, every lesson, every heart in our home. Homeschooling is a sacrifice, yes — but it’s also a sacred privilege. Abdiel turns 5! ???? I can’t even put into words how incredibly sweet this boy is to his baby brother. He adores him — sings to him, checks on him, argues with everyone that he’s the one picking up the baby first ???? and tries to copy everything I do like my tiny assistant mama. ???? He’s got the biggest heart… as much as he’s a little firecracker, that’s exactly how deeply he loves. His hugs and kisses could melt steel ????????
