OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS????!!!!!! Going in, it seemed like such a daunting challenge… because it is. We prepared and worked as hard as we could, but so did everyone else. Sports are uncertain, there are no guarantees. All you can do is work to foster a belief in yourself and your team, that you are capable of accomplishing your biggest dreams and then leave all you have on the court. It’s been a long, up and down road- blood, sweat, and tears; hundreds of thousands of miles flown and a few passport snaffus, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. So so so grateful it went our way and beyond happy with the result ???????????? but what makes me happier still is reflecting on our journey. So proud of how we stayed together and strong through it all. Proud of Alix and proud of us. One year! So much (that we can’t remember????) has happened. Good, fun, bad, or ugly, I wouldn’t want to be doing it with anyone else. The yin to my yang (I’m actually not sure who is which), the mellow to my gnarly, the Shoresy to my Laura Moore. One day I’m sure we’ll be planted somewhere in the wilderness next to water reminiscing about it all, but excited to keep on doing this journey with you until then and beyond.
