Life Update Pt. 1: ???? For the last few years, I’ve been dealing with a bad shoulder that has continued to cause more pain over time. I saw a doctor recently and he asked about any injuries I might have had- Although it was a long time ago, I remembered a specific moment when I dove off a tall ship in Puerto Rico and felt my arms buckle weirdly when I hit the water. I didn’t think much of it then and carried on with my life like nothing happened. Apparently that was when the issues began building up and as I continued to use it heavily for weight lifting, doing yoga and diving into pools, etc., I developed extreme arthritis in my right shoulder. This is the arm I use to hold my camera with and despite my busy work load, it got to a point where I couldn’t put this off anymore. I finally got the arthroscopy operation done yesterday by one of Beverly Hill’s best doctors and I’m happy to say that surgery went smoothly. He was able to clean up a bunch of damaged cartilage and removed loose fragments that were floating around like pebbles inside a shoe. While my mobility will never be 100% again, this procedure will help make things more comfortable for me after I’m all healed up. I’ll be at home icing my shoulder in a sling for the next 5-6weeks, while catching up on a ton of editing from recent trips to Arizona, South Africa and Qatar. I saw a doctor recently and he asked about any injuries I might have had- Although it was a long time ago, I remembered a specific moment when I dove off a tall ship in Puerto Rico and felt my arms buckle weirdly when I hit the water. I didn’t think much of it then and carried on with my life like nothing happened. Apparently that was when the issues began building up and as I continued to use it heavily for weight lifting, doing yoga and diving into pools, etc., I developed extreme arthritis in my right shoulder. This is the arm I use to hold my camera with and despite my busy work load, it got to a point where I couldn’t put this off anymore. I finally got the arthroscopy operation done yesterday by one of Beverly Hill’s best doctors and I’m happy to say that surgery went smoothly. He was able to clean up a bunch of damaged cartilage and removed loose fragments that were floating around like pebbles inside a shoe. While my mobility will never be 100% again, this procedure will help make things more comfortable for me after I’m all healed up. I’ll be at home icing my shoulder in a sling for the next 5-6weeks, while catching up on a ton of editing from recent trips to Arizona, South Africa and Qatar.
