“???????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????... one earth, one family, we are all on the same side. Sustainability isn’t a race with winners and losers. It’s a shared responsibility.” . Standing before a sea of faces isn’t always easy, but when it’s about @beejliving and the stories of sustainability, the words seemed to carry themselves. . At the 7th Annual Meeting by @et_edge @globalsustainabilityalliance, I was a part of a panel “Empowering Sustainable Change: Innovations from Science, Community and Corporate Leadership” which felt less like a discussion and more like a gathering of kindred spirits. . To the organisers, and to my fellow panelists who walk this path with so much heart, what a joy it was to share the stage, to plant ideas, and to feel them bloom in real time. Is a hard, but a fulfilling journey ???? . . #beejliving #beejloves #slowlivingforlife #sustainability #conference

Brimming with joy to conclude 2023 gracing the cover of @theweek_magazine health special supplement. . When I began @beejliving in 2017, the path ahead remained a mystery, yet I trod on. . I hoped to initiate a dialogue about living one’s life fully, a life that cherishes traditions while harmonizing with the natural rhythms of the universe. To define our life path, untouched by the pressures of an overcharged world. . It hasn’t been easy. I often pondered the purpose of it all. Yet, I continually found solace in you—my community—nurturing and bolstering me along this journey. . Gratitude fills my heart for those who chose to walk this path, stopping to enjoy the fragrant roses of life <3" . . . #beejliving #beejloves #slowliving #slowlivingforlife #slowlivingmovement #magazinecover #looky #covergirl #sustainability #sustainablefashion #sustainableliving #incredibleindia #explorepage

As October begins, let's flip the script. Instead of me, I’m featuring Ravana, a scholar of the Vedas and Shastras, who was consumed by his ego, overshadowing his knowledge. Make Dussehra festive and reflective, acknowledging the impact of our actions on the climate, an unheard of hot and wet Dussehra. Ravana's ten heads symbolize both his intellect and the negative human emotions, that led to his downfall. And that’s what we all speak about today: unregulated emotions and a dysregulated nervous system. How important is it to keep them in balance and how rare an occurrence. Wishing you all a grounded and happy Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti ???????????? . Ps: I took this image in Chor Baxaar Mumbai over a decade ago ???? #beejliving #beejloves #slowliving #october #dussehra #goodoverevil #choices #festive ##unregulated #dysregulatednervoussystem #ego #chorbazaar ( Dussehra in india, festive season india, ram leela india)

On #WorldTourismDay, I'm reminiscing about the good old holidays with my grandparents. We'd drive to Shimla, Solan, and Chail in our Ambassador, staying at the Mohan Meakin brewery guest house. Those were the days of soaking up the sun and indulging in caramel custard at night. My first international trip was when I was shockingly old at 26, to Singapore, followed by a solo adventure in Thailand - a journey of extremes. But that's when the travel bug bit me. I traveled relentlessly, until I grew tired of rushing according to someone else's itinerary and dime. . Now, I travel at my own pace, choosing my trips wisely, and most importantly, cherishing my time at home. Travel changes you in ways you never imagined. You wander the world to realise that there's nothing as beautiful as the home you build, the memories you bring back and the people waiting for you to return. I owe a lot to travel. It’s helped me understand myself and build depth in my life. . We travel to escape, to discover, to explore. We always return to ourselves. We always return home. . In gratitude ???? #beejliving #beejloves #slowtravel #slowtravelling #whattravelmeans #daysofsimpleandslow #slow #lifeintheslowlane

I spent Saturday morning @thekunj_newdelhi a new retail and cultural complex conceived by the Ministry of Textiles as a sanctuary for artisans, nestled along Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Kunj, right next to the other luxe malls. . India’s luxury has never lived in logos or has been defined by price tags, it’s in the hands that make, the stories they carry, and the heritage they preserve. ???? . From Kala cotton to Cheriyal paintings, Banarasis to hand-beaten brass, every piece is a reminder that craft is culture, not commodity. But sadly, Saturday morning it was quite empty, while in the neighbouring malls there wasn’t even a spot to stand. Spaces like this need us, more visitors, more attention, more support, if these traditions are to survive. . Luxury with meaning looks like this. ???? #TheKunj #ArtisanLegacy #HandmadeLuxury #SupportIndianCrafts #SlowLuxury #BeejLiving #HeritageMatters ( the kunj in New Delhi, luxury mall in delhi, where to buy handicrafts in delhi) @vimorsarees

It rained the night before. Fat drops of water weigh down stalks of grass. A frog, drunk on the rays of the morning sun, grunts sleepily in the corner. . I run my fingers absent-mindedly over my bare legs. Fattened mosquitoes buzz dangerously close. My thin city skin is no match for these feral, bloodthirsty scoundrels. . Over the last few months, I’ve been pondering on subjects so heavy, so worldly, so trademark me, that I have to step out to live in the world now from the inside of my head. . The purge, as I call it. To reclaim myself. To live in sync with nature. And in awe of it in a jaded, neon-lit world. I hope you join me in this journey ???? . . #beejliving #slowlivingforlife #slowlivingmovement #slowlifestyle #lifeintheslowlane #beejloves #bali

Linen is the only fabric that truly breathes with Mumbai’s humidity. ☀️ This @cottonworldlive dress is my go-to ally. Styled three ways — easy chic, denim layered, and boho at home. Kantha, the hand-stitched work from Bengal and eastern India, began with old cloth layered and sewn together-quilts, cushions, saris made for the home. . The name comes from kontha, Sanskrit for rags, which is exactly what it was, reused fabric made new again. Its roots run deep, even before the Vedic age. . Kantha is both the running stitch and the finished textile, passed down quietly from mother to daughter, as part of memory, marriage, and making do. I love how @houseofara_official Kantha collection keeps that history intact, yet feels right for now. Founded by Savita Jain and Avani K Chandan, a mother-daughter team committed to sustainability and the strength of rural craft, their work respects the time things take. . The blouse carries three hours of hand embroidery; the flared skirt, 20 — both in soft, handwoven tea-colored cotton. . The clothes don’t just showcase the technique, but the finesse of each thread. And of so buttery soft. . .(slow fashion labels india, Kantha embroidery, house of Ara, sustainable fashion india, skirt and blouse set, industrial hand embroidery, handwoven cotton, ethical Indian clothing, made in india , vocal for local) #beejloves #beejliving #slowfashionindia #slowfashion #sustainability #madeinindia #vocalforlocal #gifted
