Which month is your favorite? ???? I’m definitely an October girl ???? For me, October is all about gold and magic — about the contrast between crisp mornings and the warm glow of sunset, about leaves in every color, and the witchy season. Mysterious, cozy, full of contrasts — and so me! Even my daughter was born on October 1st (though she could’ve been a September 30th baby ????). I feel a bit embarrassed for dropping our challenge — but look at the fun side effect that came out of it! Have you noticed that each of my challenge illustrations includes a little set of themed icons? That’s actually my favorite part of the whole process! One day, I’ll definitely make a challenge focused only on icons! ✨

How many times a day do we pick up our phones and see the wallpaper? I always try to set something that lifts my mood, speaks to my soul, or reminds me of the words I need most in this season of life. Right now, mine says: “I let go of inner doubts.”???? It so happened that the very first audio recording of my fairy tales took place in a bomb shelter. When the war began, these stories became my light and my motivation to wake up every day. I knew that tomorrow I would live — because I needed to record another tale. During those incredibly unstable days, the book became my anchor, my support, and my guiding light. Only a few years later did I find the strength to re-record the book in Ukrainian, in a professional studio. But even while reading, I was still being taken back there — to the underground, to fear and anxiety. And now the time has come to rewrite this story — to rewrite it in my soul and in my life’s path. Last week, I had the joy of recording the book with professional equipment at the best film school in England — NFTS. I’m endlessly grateful to Maria @mari.yaremak for this opportunity. What makes this recording truly special is that the fairy tales will be accompanied by music by @mari.yaremak — composed especially for this book. It’s hard to say when exactly the fairy tales will be available, because recording the voice is only half the work. So let’s be patient and wait — for the music and the release ???? Thank you to everyone who’s walking this path with me ????

The Gaga Goose was born spontaneously out of a deep crisis, when it was necessary to allow myself, through the external, to go deep within and bring out something ugly, raw, unclear. To step into the Trickster archetype in order to complete this great cycle of transformation and become myself again. I feel that this Year of the Gaga Goose has come to an end for me, and this part of my personality is very important to me, and I am deeply grateful to it. ???? What do you feel about it?

The first Ukrainian children’s library has opened in London! ????✨ ????Redbridge Library London It’s a wonderful place filled with many Ukrainian books — and among them are several that I had the joy of illustrating. These include ????Chocolate Journey published by The Old Lion Publishing House ✨my own book The Moonmill Tales in English ????and a new story about Zmii Horynych, also in English. The new book I illustrated is finally out! ???? Remember I told you I was working on a book about the city of Bath? I can finally show it to you! ???? It’s a small charity book created for the organization Friends of Oleksandriya, founded by Zhenya Shkil, and written by Claire Barmwell-Pearson (she used to work at Disney — can you believe whose book I got to illustrate? ????). The story follows a Ukrainian boy Vitalii, who arrives in Bath, befriends an English boy Edward, and together they help a Zmii Gorynych, they find in Bath’s Roman Baths! ???? The book is now being sold in the main Abbey of Bath (can you believe it? ????) and in several lovely local shops around the city. I’ll share more about it soon, but for now, I’m just so happy to finally show it to you! ✨

Every live event is a huge source of inspiration for me and another reminder that creativity truly matters — that we need these little islands of calm where you can listen to music and kind words, look at illustrations, and take a break from reality for a while. I’m deeply grateful to Olena @tkachenko.h for inviting Maria @mari.yaremak and me to the opening of the first Ukrainian children’s library in London. It’s such an honour and a moment of great pride for me. Thank you to everyone who came and became a part of this meaningful celebration. ????????
