Let’s talk about PRIORITIES. ⏳ It’s something that I’ve worked on over the last 10 years of my life. It’s one of the hardest things to manage but if you can master it, your quality of life and progress will be on another level. For me, It started after getting married, then buying a house, then having children. Every layer requires a deeper commitment and focus to achieve a fulfilled, balanced life. 1) If you don’t prioritize your life, someone else will. You are in the drivers seat and can navigate what gets done in your life. What you prioritize is what the outcome will be, know that. 2) if it isn’t a clear ‘yes’ then it’s a clear ‘no’. Many times we lie to ourselves, don’t do that. If it doesn’t feel right or if you hesitate to make the right decision then just say no and walk away. 3) The Latin root of the word ‘decision’ — cis or cid — literally means “to cut” or “to kill”. We must summon the discipline to get rid of options or activities that may be good or even really good, but that get in the way. Yes, making the choice to eliminate something good can be painful. But eventually, every cut produces joy — maybe not at the moment but afterwards, then we realize that every additional moment we have gained can be spent on something better.
