I’m not one to share the real personal stuff on social media... least of all about my family... but as this Covid pandemic blows up on our continent and people are sharing their messages, and some people seem to be sharing their indifference, I just want to share this. •

This is my dad. He’s pretty much the definition of high risk when it comes to this disease. •
•
Between having emphysema, being immunocompromised, and also being in that target age range, he’s pretty much who they’re referring to when they talk about the vulnerable population. •

Once I realized this, that’s when all this really hit home for me, when I clued in that it didn’t matter if I am healthy and well. •
•
I’m not ready to hear that some selfish dumb fck thought they were immune, or that catching the virus wouldn’t be that big of a deal to them, only to walk around as a loaded weapon for the next time my dad needs to go to the grocer. •

So please, for the love of anyone you’ve ever cared about, that has people they care about, that they are not ready to live life without, please stay the fck home. •

Day 2: Holy heckin deep powder (okay, no joke, that’s physically intense!), woah that’s a creek (thank fck buddy found it before me... looked painful), wow it’s really cool to see women riding back here (aw gee thanks, buddy ?? that’s so cool when a guy gasses ya up), carving powder horizontal (and shooting backward off the sled), getting stuck sooo many times cause my six couldn’t handle how deep it was (but learning how to dig myself out), ripping fingernails off digging myself out (but getting to do the bad b*tch dance when I grabbed throttle and got myself going all on my own), moonshine shots (being so cold we needed moonshine shots), watchin babe long c*ck every single sledder out there when he made it over the mountain that “not one guy could do all day” cause it was too deep (dat ones mine ?), “photoshoots” (work it), rag-dolling (“sorry I broke your sled T” - Taihler), so. much. digging.
