Secret Crescendo -- A colorful predawn sky lit the valley in magenta and gave us our first glimpse of this beautiful yet strange valley. Not a unhappy man in the bunch as we stuck around for the sun to come up and light the rocks, deespite it being just a few ticks above freezing this morning.

Meadow Bliss - I caught the last bit of light hitting the tops of the bushee in the meadow, but almost missed it. After @jude_allen and I had scouted out this meadow for the best views for sunset we found a nice place to set up here. As always setting up I quickly realized that I had left my tripod in the car due to excitement over the light. I hastily made a decision to run back to the car; at 9,000 ft this wasn't the best idea. After about a half mile sprint in back I made it just in time to get my camera set up for the last bit of light on our foreground. #worthit

Sunrise Season -- For the first time in months I am actually paying attention to the local weather. The summer months in southern California can be a real drag when it comes to cloud coverage. We often have clouds, but they're usually low clouds with little chance of reflected light during golden hours. With the coming of winter we begin to get high clouds once again as well as improved sun angles. The combination of these two makes for what we call locally sunset season. Most of the locals are able to take advantage of some of the sunsets, but I also take advantage of the sunrises which prove to be better at this time of the year as well. Here's one that I woke up for the other day and arrived for just in time. This is one of my go-to spots in the morning when I don't have much time to travel and is much like my practice area.
