My online shop is open again! I have updated it with a few more original artworks and there will be more going on later in the week. I am sorry for the time being I can’t send orders of just cards or giclee prints to the US. HOWEVER, I am sending original artworks to the US by courier, you can add cards to an order of an original artworks if you wanted to, it’s just the small orders of cards have to be sent tracked now and it is just too much in postage to make it worth while. I am trying to work out how I can do it, because I know I have lots of customers in the US and I still would like to send you orders. Gigantes or Gegants. These wonderful huge figures seen at festivals in Catalonia Spain. They are several meters high, held on the shoulders of someone inside to make the figures move, dance and turn to the sound of music and drum beats. We were so lucky to see them at a local fiesta last weekend. We joined the procession from the start. It ended up in the village square and then hundreds of sweets were thrown down from the balconies to the children below. I love them! I have made my own in my sketchbook. Nearly time to go home after a month in Spain. It has been busy with lots of the family coming and going, but also some chilled time with just the two of us @sweetpotatoandfriends. I have been swimming in the sea every day. It’s a lovely time of year to come to this beautiful part of Catalonia. Still warm but quiet. Also it extends the summer, as I know it will be chilly back in the UK! I still have some pages to fill in my sketchbook, but will finish it off at home and then do a flick through. I have done lots of little drawings of things I plan to do in it. My mind is whirring with projects I am going to do when I get back. Lots of things planned! My shop has been closed for the time I have been here, but I will open it up soon and have some more original artworks to add. #sketchbook #collagedsketchbook

There used to be a cockerel in the village to start the day, but I haven’t heard one here in a long time. I miss it a little bit, that is probably because it wasn’t that near to us! We do have the village church bells that ring every quarter of an hour and on the hour they ring the time twice. I actually do love those! #spanishsketchbook #traveljournal
