(AD) Dates are seriously one of the most versatile foods around! They are amazing and so convenient ?? for a snack on their own, but you can also combine with other ingredients to make tasty and unique recipes ?! Some of my favorites include the combo of dates and nut butter ? for a sweet and salty flavor. I have been using @jooliesdates recently and I’m in love ? ! They are grown in the Coachella Valley of California ☀️ and are hand picked at peak ripeness so you get the freshest, most delicious dates possible… YUM! Not only are these dates so tasty ? , but they are packed with fiber that aids in digestion ?? and antioxidants to support cellular health. What’s your favorite ingredient to enjoy with dates? I vote nut butter or goat cheese ?.

(AD) You know I looooove ♥️ nut butter, but they are not all created equally. Unfortunately, many traditional spreads are packed with sugar and contain low quality fats ??.  @eatnuttzo nut & seed butter is the exception though ??, and has become a go-to for us because of the variety of nuts and seeds ? it contains and the amazing nutrient profile that you’re unlikely to find in most nut butter spreads ?. The variety of nuts of seeds provide amazing texture, flavor and a wide variety of nutrients, like omega-3 fats found in flax and chia seeds⭐️. One of my favorite ways to enjoy NuttZo is simply spread on a piece of toast ?. It’s so satisfying for a snack or breakfast component! Use my code NuttZoMelissa for 30% off your purchase for the next 48 hours only ⏰ ! How will you enjoy your @eatnuttzo?

(AD) I'll never forget July 15th 2016, the day I got surgery on my finger. Sounds so insignificant now and probably to most, but at the time it really rocked me. I was using a sharp knife cutting into an avocado, I cut deep enough into my finger that I actually cut a nerve, losing feeling in my finger, needing surgery to repair the nerves and 3 months of rehab. I still don't have feeling at the top of my finger to this day, but at the time my main concerns were, will I ever be able to hold my baby one day, let alone use my left hand? I took some time off from work, not being able to drive, shower independently and even text on my phone left me rather limited. Exercise has and always will be a great outlet for me. I remember asking my surgeon what I could do, but his answer was simple- nothing. I had a hard time with this, I realized I could use my left hand, but maybe I could use the elliptical, no arms, or even walk. When I look back, I wish I had Dr. Hodge, my @steadymd SteadyMD doctor, to talk to me and guide me.

Do you ever feel like medical professionals can't help you because they simply don't understand you or because you don't fit inside this box that they were trained to understand?

I chose to work with SteadyMD because I wanted a more personal relationship with my doctor. I wanted to be able to communicate more freely and get answers quicker. I also hate feeling like a number and with SteadyMD I feel like Melissa Rifkin, not #48947543789243 patient.
My doctor and I met and he was interested in learning more about me, he also shared about himself, making our relationship real, coming to life.
I am so glad I made the switch to SteadyMD.

No but really, how are you doing?

We had a great day today ? it was all about family time. And I LOVED the day. But during the week, I'm often lonely, tbh. I keep reminding myself, this is not permanent. What's going on with you?
