Hey you! As we head into the silly season, this is your gentle reminder that it's important to take moments of rest amongst the madness, that it's totally ok to say no to additional commitments and that it's ok to change your mind based on your energy levels on that particular. I am also having to remind myself of this constantly! In order to thrive and give the best of ourselves in any setting, our own cups need to be full! I am trying to find little nuggets of rest wherever I can, in order to fill my cup. This looks like:
- Going to bed earlier and reading
- Walking with no phone
- Eating without distractions
- Reducing strenuous exercise and opting for yoga or stretching instead
- Zoning out with trash TV ????
- Cooking for myself (this fills me with so much joy!)
- Taking my time at the grocery store (this is a cathartic experience for me)

Gosh this year has been challenging on so many levels, in so many ways, for so many! Last night I took my alter ego Alicia out for a spin. I forgot how good it feels to be amongst a crowd, getting lost in the music, dancing your little butt of (14,000 steps and counting!) and making memories that will last a lifetime with dear friends. I don't know about you, but I often dread shopping for new clothes! ???? Being a super tall female with a curvier frame, has made finding the perfect fit really tricky at times. I recently had the opportunity to visit the new @commonry store @highpointofficial and browse through looks for the upcoming holiday season. I can't begin to express how empowering it feels to walk into a store, where you know more than one piece of clothing will actually fit you! I really appreciate good craftsmanship and attention to detail. The pieces @commonry are timeless, well made and they offer extended sizing 10-22! It's a YES from me. Problem is ..
