As part of my online suport for Stayhome yoga classes, beside some IG live, I’ll share with you also some free videos. This one is a Vinyasa serie I have made in a beautiful location in Dubai Bluewaters, just before the lockdown to give you some view refreshment. In this class I have include Pranayama (or breathing practice) named Nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) it balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain and also helps with circulatory and respiratory issues, aimed at clearing and purifying the subtle channels of the mind-body organism, while balancing its masculine and feminine aspects. It calms the mind and brings awareness into the present moment. You may notice the gentle flow of prana (life energy) flowing through the nadis (channels) in the body and a cooling sensation when done correctly. At the end we are going to practice Bhramari Pranayama, (Bee Breath): it is beneficial and instantly calming down the mind. It is one of the best breathing exercises to free the mind of distress, anxiety, or frustration and get rid of anger to a great level. It is a soothing practice that calms the nervous system as we take out the gentle humming sound from the back of our throat, which sounds like a bee.
