Find a Galentine like this. ???? One who’ll drag a bar cart into the bathroom for martinis in the bubble bath and call it a bonding experience. Our Galentine’s at Fawsley Hall looked like this: Breakfast in bed followed by afternoon tea in the historic Great Hall with prosecco and cakes we absolutely could not finish. A spa session with an amazing massage, sauna, and a heated outdoor jacuzzi moment. Dinner at Cedar that was so good we skipped dessert, and that says everything. The food was incredible, totally recommend! Matching red dresses, glowing skin, and zero regrets. If you’re planning a Valentine’s or Galentine’s escape, this is your sign to book @fawsleyhallhotel. You know a place is good when you’re still talking about it weeks later. We started with small bites that were full of flavour, the confit lamb croquette, sardine pincho, and wild mushroom and truffle arancini, all perfect with champagne. The tuna sashimi from the raw bar was fresh and clean, and the warm Mediterranean baby octopus on toast was earthy and beautifully cooked. For mains, the signature burger is a must. Rib steak patties, slow-cooked short rib, caramelised onion and gorgonzola. Rich, indulgent, and worth every bite. The skate was cooked to perfection and served with creamy spinach on the side, simple and so well done. Cocktails were great, desserts didn’t disappoint, and a special mention to Luminita, our server, who was genuinely kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. @allmumstalk agrees ???? ???? Waking up at 4:30am… was it worth it? Two-hour drive, torrential rain at the White Cliffs of Dover, and every reason to turn back. But we didn’t. It stayed drizzly, foggy, moody in the best possible way. We walked, met cows along the path, found a hidden cave, climbed down a steep metal ladder to a black pebble beach with the tide rushing in… slightly terrifying, very worth it. I was with Ria and my bootcamp crew. Technically training for a 50K ultra, so yes, this one counts. Four hours later we rolled into Deal for lunch, windswept, soaked, and smugly satisfied.
