Train service? What train service? ???????? This is Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and I’m filming it for posterity because (as of Feb 23, 2026) it’s closing to make way for Bluey. If you’ve never made the trek: you hop the little train in Africa, glide past the paddocks, then wander into the building where you can learn to draw animals, watch animal caretakers doing their thing, peek at amphibians/reptiles/invertebrates, say hi to Rafiki + Timon, and (my personal favorite) attempt to befriend the goats and sheep… who may or may not consent. I took a behind-the-scenes tour of Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats in Palmyra, PA, home of Lebanon Bologna (and no… it’s not “Lebanon baloney,” thank you very much). You start with a quick intro + mini history museum, then it’s straight into the wooden smokehouses where the bologna hangs for 3 days while the fire’s stoked and the magic happens. And yes, there are samples at the end. My winner: sweet chipotle jerky. ???? Palmyra, Pennsylvania ???? Last year I visited Lebanon Valley, PA and seeing the Snow Goose migration at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area was seriously breathtaking. ????✨ We had an incredible view of over 50,000 snow geese overwintering in Pennsylvania. These birds travel all the way down to South Carolina in winter… then head north to the Arctic Circle for breeding season. ????
