Okay… here it is — the heart of our home. ❤️ Our living and dining spaces are where everything comes together. It’s where we unwind at the end of the day, host dinners with family and friends, light the fireplace on a cozy evening, and reset for the week ahead. The custom @eldoradostone, the built-in cabinetry, the wood beams, the layered textures — every detail was thoughtfully designed to feel warm, timeless, and functional. Inspired by Pottery Barn, Arhaus, and Mackenzie Childs, but ultimately tailored to reflect our lifestyle. Oh and in the dining area, that back wall was painted using a Limewash technique! ???? (see video) Shout out @freshcoatpaintersofbrandon for that! We wanted it to feel elevated but livable. Structured but cozy. Beautiful and intentional. When we first bought this house, this backyard was nothing but concrete and a lot of imagination. I remember standing on the porch looking out at the empty space, talking about what it could become. We saw the pool before it existed, the fireplace, the late nights outside, and the quiet moments after long days. And when we realized how perfectly the sunset falls right behind the house, we knew this space had to become something special. This became our backyard retreat. A place to slow down, reset, and enjoy the life we’re building together. Some nights it’s a late swim, other nights it’s sitting by the fire or soaking in the spa and just letting the day go. It took over a year to bring it to life, and like most things worth building, it took patience. But we’re grateful for the process and even more grateful to share this space with all of you as this home series continues. I haven’t posted here in a long time, and truthfully, I needed that space. The last few months were about slowing down, resetting mentally, and reconnecting with myself without pressure or expectations. One thing I’ve learned during that time is how important it is to love the space you come home to. Your home becomes your sanctuary — a place where your energy settles, where you breathe deeper, where you can simply exist without expectations. When we first bought this house, it was completely empty. Just walls and floors and a vision that lived only in my mind. With time, patience, and a lot of love, it slowly became a space that feels warm, timeless, and safe to me. There are evenings where I’ll sit here in silence, breathing deeply, letting the day go, and reminding myself that peace is something we create, not something we wait for. I couldn’t have brought this vision to life alone, and I’m grateful to the people who helped make it real — Josue from Matos Custom Designs, Chris from Graywood Designs, and Juan from Luxe Glass. When I was in the music industry, I can’t tell you how many times I walked into record labels and they wanted to change me, change who I was, change what I stood for and most of all, hide who I was inside.
