a slow, nourishing stay on the water. exactly what i needed. as part of intention: a wellness getaway in victoria with @tourismvictoriabc, my time at @brentwoodbayresort felt like a true staycation reset. waking up in the ocean king room overlooking the inlet, prosecco and macarons waiting, breakfast brought to the room, and nowhere to be but right here. quiet mornings, soft light on the water, and that feeling of being deeply taken care of. dinner at the arbutus room was just as intentional. every element of the experience is rooted in season, place, and story. inspired by the land and waters surrounding the resort and the rhythms of winter on the coast. this time of year is about renewal, reflection, and calling the light back in, and you feel that woven through the menu, the cocktails, and the pacing of the meal itself. we shared starters, lingered over the most delicious mains, and paired it all with beautiful vancouver island wines. the flavours were rich yet balanced, comforting yet refined. the kind of food that makes you slow down without trying. add in the winter trilogy cocktails (fireside warmth, misty shoreline energy, and just a hint of returning light), and it becomes more than a dinner; it’s an experience. from the attention to detail, to the warmth of the staff, to feeling like the only table in the room, everything felt thoughtful, grounded, and quietly special. brentwood bay resort truly offers something unique. a place where wellness, rest, and elevated dining meet effortlessly. i already can’t wait to return.

had to hop on this trend because 2016 was such a monumental year for me. it kicked off with an unforgettable trip to aruba with @lovephilosophy and @yoga_girl. the group of women i got to travel with made every moment so special. from incredible dinners, new product launches, sailing and snorkeling adventures, swimming in the conchi natural pools, to paddle board yoga. then i found myself in tennessee with tourism tennessee. chattanooga was so full of life, art, and energy. i probably wouldn’t have experienced this city without this opportunity and it truly left a mark on me. and last but definitely not least… my first commercial campaign with @buickusa, which took me back to my favourite city in the world, san francisco, where i got to shoot with an incredible team. not only was it magical to be back in my old stomping grounds, but this project opened so many doors for me. 2016 was a year of adventure, growth, and incredible opportunities. a year i’ll never forget.
