Have you seen a pangolin?
Probably not.
They’re the most trafficked mammal in the world, and poaching plus habitat loss have made them almost impossible to spot.
If you’re lucky enough to encounter one, remember:
???? Keep your distance, stay quiet, and avoid flash photography.
These shy, nocturnal animals are incredibly sensitive and responsible sightings can mean the difference between stress and survival.
Protecting their habitats is the only way pangolins will survive. Every choice we make as travellers has an impact.
If you’ve been lucky enough to spot a pangolin, tell us about your experience in the comments.

What’s better than a beach holiday? A beach all to yourself.
Powder-soft sand stretches under your feet, the water is crystal clear, and just a few strokes out you’re swimming alongside a curious turtle.
Behind the beaches, islands are dotted with lush hills, granite boulders, and hidden coves waiting to be explored.
Luxury lodges and private villas are tucked into these quiet corners, so you can wake up to the sound of the ocean, enjoy a slow breakfast on your deck, and spend the day snorkelling, hiking, or just soaking it all in, without a crowd in sight.
Seychelles is a quiet escape that’s all yours, completely. ????️

Is gorilla and chimp trekking ethical?
Many people dream of this incredible experience but then wonder if it’s really ethical.
In places like Rwanda and Uganda, the permit fees you pay go directly to anti-poaching efforts, local community projects, and conservation programs.
When tourists buy local goods, it helps communities see the value in protecting these animals.
The rules you’ll follow on a trek - like keeping your distance, no food, and limited photography - might feel strict, but they exist to keep the gorillas and chimps safe and their homes undisturbed.

There are only a few places on Earth where you can look into the eyes of a wild gorilla.
Amongst the best, Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and the remote rainforests of Congo, these rare encounters unfold in silence and awe.
It’s not a zoo.
There are no fences.
Just a family of gorillas carrying on with their day, and you, standing a few metres away, knowing you’ll never forget it.
Today we celebrate these rare encounters, and the people protecting them, on World Gorilla Day. ????
