“Everyone knows the story of the three little pigs, but now you’re going to meet the three little javelinas — lovable, wild, southwestern cousins of pigs. Living in homes built out of tumbleweeds and saguaro ribs, the first two javelinas are soon running from the hungry coyote, who had hoped to eat them with red chile sauce. And where do they go for shelter? Why, to their wise sister’s house, made strong with adobe bricks.” — Susan Lowell, The Three Little Javelinas Join us at the Heard Museum for a FREE Heardlings Storytime featuring a themed stroller tour designed for our youngest visitors! ????️ Fri, Jan. 16 | 10 a.m. ????Monte Vista Room, Heard Museum

The Gila River once sustained generations of Akimel O’odham along its banks. When the water faded, so did a way of life. However, the story didn’t end there. Today, the river is being restored, honoring its deep cultural significance and enduring legacy. #WhatHappenedinAZ? Thanks to our friends at @Heardmuseum and at @gilarivertv for their production support, Reuben Ringlero for the beautiful drone footage, and our host @gabeagarcia.
